God to resign from his position in the Bush White House:

Aren't you going to feel silly when the guy replacing Gonzales turns out to be Michael Chertoff.
|
I'm surprised he didn't resign already, since he was such a favorite ragdoll for the dems.

I would be interested in knowing what kind of blow back this might cause the Democrats who have hounded him, specifically in the Hispanic community at large. The Dems approval rating is already low, wonder if the Hispanic community will feel betrayed enough to pay them back. Gonzales was the nation's first Hispanic Attorney General.

Spics and beaners are smart enough to know that, even though the man was one of them, that he did some things that he deserved the bad credit for. quite frankly I find your post offensive. |
You find my post offensive, yet you use ethnic slurs in reference to Hispanics.
|
Yeah, a goddamn racist redneck fuck finds the very idea that dirty illegals will have a strong negative opinion on Gonzales resigning while not having a strong negative opinion on the things that he has said and done is irresponsible and highly offensive.
You should meditate on this, porch monkey. |

I wasn't aware that all non-white's were illegal aliens. I'm terribly sorry for my misconception. Being called a porch monkey is highly amusing for many reasons, all of which you obviously don't have the necessary skills to understand, as it would seem. And furthermore, I will do no meditation because none in needed, but feel free to meditate all you want, it looks like you have some pent up anger that needs to be resolved. |
I think it's really cute that you're affecting an intellectual and nuanced language while telling me that I am behaving in an over-the-top manner.
I'll try again. None, or very few, hispanics are going to be offended that a man of his own free will has retired his post, when that man has been embroiled in controversy of his own doing. Merely suggesting that hispanics (and not other groups of people, such as short men or first-lawyers-in-their-families or loyal Bushies) would give Democrats (who had nothing to do with his resignation outside of giving him and many of his coworkers royal hell for said shady business) blowback for this is incredibly racist. In short fuck you house nigger. For the record, I checked his age before posting this. 1978, he's almost 30. thirty and he's posting shit like this. |
Yay. Seriously. Get rid of a liar and replace Gonzales with another liar of equal standing and supposed importance. Yay.

Shit son, from racism born of naïveté to "you don't know me" in the span of an hour and a half. That's a new record!
It's still true though. Even though he is the color of hispanics, you'll probably be hard pressed to find one who gives a shit who hadn't already given a shit. Will you be offended by my use of swear words again? |

Moved to Political, where the political types can clusterfuck this topic until they go blue in the fingers.

I think it's complete bullshit that Gonzales resigned over the most.....scandalous non-scandal in the history of recent politics. It's absolute bullshit on every account. Gonzales wasn't what I'd call a great attorney general, but he certainly wasn't a corrupt or bad one either.
|
I don't know, I am pretty uncomfortable with a man who has absolutely no memory of anything ever holding such a powerful position.
He probably won't even recall having resigned, so no worries there. |

Oh I dunno about that. In recent history, Janet Reno was a pretty shitty (and unqualified) AG who even stamped down her clodhoppers when there wasn't terrorism to fall back on.
Also, on the bright side he at least didn't become a Supreme Court Justice. |

The very fact that -- 1. The President is elected. 2. The President has the power to appoint the head of the Justice Department 3. The Senate (which is also elected) has the power to confirm the Attorney General 4. There is a two-party system in the United States in which each party subscribes to diametrically-opposed ideologies 5. These two parties continually vie for power by pandering to voters of various demographics Means that the position of Attorney General is inherently political and the administration of such department cannot help but to be political. Fuck what it intended to be, we're talking about things the way they are. Don't like it? Leave. Quote:
