Sibelius 5 problems
 

Okay, i just got Sibelius 5. this is the hybrid one that works for mac and pc. i have sibelius 4 on my mac. i tried to install sibelius 5 onto my mac. it then asked if i had a previous version that i wanted to update. at first i said yes, but nothing worked. so then i tried again and this time i said i wasn't trying to update any versions. so when it asked me to enter in my serial number, i put in the serial number that was part of sibelius 4 (i looked it up in the help menu). after i hit enter and the TOS window popped up, another window popped up saying that the serial number is corrupted and that i need to call tech support to fix it.

well, i don't want to call them and tell them that a bogus serial number didn't work. i tried to uninstall sibelius 5 and reinstall it, hoping i could start from scratch. but when i tried to run the program gain, that "corrupt serial number" window popped up.

does anyone know how i can fix this? i think there's a file or something that's left on the computer after i uninstall a program that keeps the serial number all any important info that the computer might need.

I could really use the help here, folks. i'm really in a bind. :(
