Preventing Comcast from throttling my Bittorrent
While I recently had my upstream speed upgraded from 384kbps to ~1500kbps, it seems this benefit doesn't extend to torrent seeding, which is the main reason I want an increased upload speed. Since Comcast is the fastest ISP in my area (Verizon FiOS is not available yet), I need to find a workaround. I use uTorrent 1.7.2 and have protocol encryption enabled, which still doesn't help.
I have heard that using an SSH shell can help me bypass this limitation, but I have no idea how to properly set that up. Any assistance in making it so I can upload at full speed with uTorrent would help immensely.
