facebook question lol :)

Hey guys, what happens when you remove a 'friend' from your facebook list? Will they get a notice or something?

I hope not :|

If the notice appears on your list, it will probably appear on theirs. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

I haven't gotten a notice and my number of friends went down by 1 or 2 in my list :( Although, I think one of those was from the person deleting their facebook account. Ragardless, I don't think there is an actual notice saying "<X> and <X> are no longer friends."

There's no notice =o

Alright, thanks a lot guys. Going to delete 'unactive' friends ;P

Hehe sry to spam my own problems here... just thought it might come in handy since I didn't want to start a new topic... but under my name there's "Hug XXXX" how do I get rid of that or change it? I don't remember adding any sort of new application... it just appeared or at least I dun remember how it did >.<

Did you do something that was not "Poking" to another person? If you did, you had to add an application (probably "X me") in order to do it. So you're gonna have to modify the options on the app from your left-hand control bar (sometimes you can do that, so that you can continue to "do" things to other people but not let it clutter up your profile page) or delete the app.

I think there's an option that allows you to prevent the link from appearing under your name. It's probably in the options menu of that particular app.

If I remember correctly, there was a Firefox extension that would change Poke to Hug. I never tried it myself, but if you didn't add any Facebook applications and are using Firefox, look in your Addons.

That would be from adding an application. To edit your applications on the little side list of things (where it says 'Applications') click the 'edit' link. On this page will be all the Facebook applications you've added and I imagine one will be called "Hug Me".

For the relevant application click the 'Edit Settings' link and on the dialog that appears uncheck "Add a link below the profile picture to any profile" and click 'Save'. Done.
