Colorful
How come there's no topic for Colorful on this forum. This must be rectified!
Colorful (adapted from the "Colorful" part of the manga "Wonderful") is an anime all about the day-to-day life of male perverts and their outrageous attempts to catch a glimpse of girls' panties and/or cleavage. The lengths they will go to get their fulfillment, and the inevitable consequences are absolutely hilarious, and the art style is so over the top and crazy that it just defies description. Each episode is only about 5 minutes long but includes several short stories cut in a high-octane fashion. Random shots of people partying and UFOs landing intersect the longer storyline bits (which are rarely over 1 minute long, anyway). So yeah, totally check this show out if you have a sense of humour. =D (My current sig/av set is from the show, too.) |
Lol I'm definitely checking this out. Does your sig have anything to do with the series ?

I really liked this series. The scene with the two guys in the shoe store with the mirror was hilarious.
|
Hmmmmm, I'm gonna get this now, will be back when I'm done watching lol.
|
Care to elaborate briefly on Wonderful?
I'm interested. |

Anyway, more info about "Wonderful" from ANN. |
I saw this when it was on G4, and I must say that this show is absolutely brillant! To pervs like me, anyway. Definitely one of the funniest animes I've seen in a while, because it's just so quirky. I might actually buy the DVD of this, even though I usually don't buy DVDs of anime shows that I've seen already.
|
Haha, I just finished downloading and watching the first four episodes. The premise is so ridiculous, but it works out nicely. Too bad that opening theme cuts away a good chunk of the 6'30'' running time. =(

Has anyone checked out the manga version? I haven't yet but I'm really interested in it. |
Haha, man, episode 15 was pretty funny at the end. Anywho, that was really quick. All the random junk kinda annoyed me though.
|
I remember buying this in 2003, it was probably one of my DVD's that I thought I got my money's worth.
(like Azumanga) I want to make a bunch of animated gifs whenever I can get the time. Quote:

thanks gonna watch this after i watch the rest of Lain

I finished all the episodes already. :(
This was a fun, quirky little series. Sometimes the random bits felt a little too long, but overall it was quite good. I like how they kept returning to the same people as well -- my favorite had to be the sports teacher, though there were lots of other good ones (the shoe store clerks, the A Prize and B Prize). The background music, though short, was also surprisingly good. Now to see if the manga can be hunted down somewhere... |
I think Prize A and B was my favorite part.
Spoiler:
The shoe store one also made me actually laugh out loud. Also.......... E.T. PHONE HOME!!!!!!! |
Isn't this the same series as Ebichu? I heard that 3 series with similars themes were released and this one looks like one of those. I'll check it out, looks interesting.

Among other things |
Hee hee, I've been looking for a torrent for this forever, ever since I saw it at the not-so-hentai hentai panel at PortconMaine last year. Many thanks, I have a friend who'll get a kick out of this.
|
Oh finally! I was wondering what this show was all about ever since I saw it in the one of the Excel Saga dvds as a preview. It just seemed so random but I remember strongly liking the opening even though I only heard it once. It wouldn't happen to be Sakuranbo Kiss, would it?
|
I don't think the opening is Sakuranbo Kiss. The one by KOTOKO right? think it was for a dating sim game song. the opening for Colorful is "Boku no Taion wa 37.5C" by Yuko Miyamura (info from Anime News Network.com)
what an old series (to me anyway =p) since i watched it around the time i saw Ippatsu Kiki Musume, a very hilarious 6min comedy series btw =p You guys should check it out if you like something short and funny i forgot to mention, Ippatsu Kiki Musume is a bit on the mature side ^^; |

Woa, I'm laughing just from looking at the screen shots.
I'm glad you made this thread, I get to watch something short and worth while. The last comedy show I've seen was probably Golden Boy and that was a long time ago |
I feel oh so wrong for watching more than one of those. Not that this sort of anime is my thing, I just feel perverted and as if I've defiled some teen girl.
