Slapping slappage slapped

In my entire life, 17 years, two months and six days, I have never ever EVER been slapped I have never slapped anyone or witnessed any other person in the act of slapping.

However, in the movie and entertainment business, slapping is a normal, cathartic, almost involuntary response (especially in Asian entertainment...hoo boy).

Anyway, just wondering...have you any slaptastic moments? Feel free to share moments of pain and/or victory.

I once called a vile, whore of a woman a slut. I was duly slapped across the face. I believe it was well worth it.

I, on the other hand, have never taken the opportunity to administer a back hand of justice on anyone. Fist of might, maybe, but never a bitch slap.

Occasionally, I like to slap my friends for the hell of it. Meh, it brings some noise to a quiet room.

I usually do it when they least expect it. :|

I've never used it to degrade anyone though. Mine are playful. :|

I've slapped my little sister across the face. Regretted it immediately, but at the same time, she was being the snottiest little bitch on the planet. Still didnt like it after I did it. :-\

Slapping across the face can be so degrading.

My cousins and I used to play a version of Rock, Paper, Scissors where the loser got slapped in the face. Good times. =)

My pimp hand wanders the streets while I sleep at night (I suppose to engage in exercises which will maintain its strength). I have no evidence to support any incidents of slapping, but it does come back the next morning wearing gold jewelry. In the world of pimp hands, that must indicate a level up.

That's pretty much my experience with the slapping too. Once, circumstances dictated that I was fully expecting to get slapped and I ended up getting spit on instead. I consider that my crowning achievement.

I've slapped my sister, my mother (HUGE mistake) and my ex-husband, and I've been slapped by my mother, my father, my sister, and a girl I used to hang out with in junior high (obviously the slapping was a friendship-ender).

Slapping's not such a big deal and it doesn't really even hurt. It's just more shocking than anything else.

I tend to slap as a strictly defensive reaction, to let my offender know that I do not approve of what they are doing without running the risk of hurting them. It's an act of courtesy!

...

I've done this twice but it seems it failed to get my point across: the first time I got a broken nose, and the second time I ended up with two black eyes. It taught me the lesson that if you are going to hit, then hit first, and hit hard.

I've been slapped by pretty much every woman my father dated, with the exception of my actual mother. Women do not like me. I never really gave two shits when they slapped me. I smiled back out of the lack of knowing what to do.

I've slapped at least one man in my life: my first boyfriend. He totally deserved it. And he too seemed not to care too much when I did it.

My sister slapped me once, so I punched her in the nose. It was during an argument about something ridiculous that I can't even remember, but still she's never slapped me again. I doubt i'd ever slap someone, if I wanted to hurt someone i'd do more than slap them.

I got slapped in home ec because none of the girls in my group wanted to de-skin the sausage so I made some joke about how they couldn't handle my meat or something to that extent and got slapped by one of them. :(

My girlfriend slaps me now and then, but usually it's just because I'm hassling her and know I have it coming.

At school, my friends and I used to slap each other in the face for the sake of catching one another off-guard. We're smart.

splur Jul 9, 2007 12:48 PM

My friends have slapped me and I've slapped them, only guys though. It's funny sometimes. We've also done slap bets.

Summonmaster Jul 9, 2007 12:55 PM

Only twice or thrice to my godsister as a joke. If my hand has been on anyone's cheek for any reason, its actually because I prefer to pinch cheeks hard.

I've always wondered how painful a serious slap would be.

Grawl Jul 9, 2007 04:04 PM

I used to slap people in the face all the time, until they really got annoyed by it and I figured it'd better stop. Only with male friends though, I don't think I could ever hit a woman.

wyntergrace Jul 9, 2007 04:29 PM

I slapped my sister once when I was about 7. I am certain that I felt worse about it than she did. I remember the horrified look on her face to this day, but she doesn't even remember it at all! Haven't slapped anyone since.

The Plane Is A Tiger Jul 13, 2007 09:20 PM

I've only been on the receiving end of one slap that I can actually remember the reason for, mainly because it was so ridiculous. This girl was part of the raving anime fangirl crowd at my high school and a friend of a friend's younger sister. They were talking about L'Arc en Ciel one day, and I casually mentioned that I could've seen them at Otakon in 2004, but didn't care enough to stand outside in the blazing heat for 2 hours to get in. Out of nowhere she smacked me very hard in the face and yelled at me for missing the chance to go to the concert. I was more stunned by the reason than the actual hit, though it did hurt.

kinkymagic Jul 13, 2007 09:45 PM

A friend of mine jokingly said that I was a bit 'puffy' in front of a girl I liked, so naturally I bitch-slapped him.

Will Jul 16, 2007 12:29 PM

I find that slapping has very high comedic value. And at the risk of sounding masochistic, I like being on the receiving end. XD

Syndrome Jul 16, 2007 01:27 PM

I've slapped some friends (not hard) a couple of time as a joke, because it's so totally unexpected. Leads to a good laugh everytime.

I have never slapped/been slapped or witnessed any serious slapping though :O
Does it exist outside TV? WE WILL NEVER KNOW!

I've been on the receiving end of slapping for the most part when I was growing up (relax, it's a part of fucking growing up / my culture and was appropriate punishment at the time).

I'm usually a non-violent person, so I only slap jokingly. But there was one time I've gotten into a situation where a guy said something really, fucking, dumb about/to his girlfriend and had it coming -- I just happened to be standing near by so I slapped his balls.

Bernard Black Jul 16, 2007 05:37 PM

The only time I was bitch-slapped in the face was by my mother about three months ago, but I don't think anyone in the world deserved a slap as much as I did. Long story short I got drunk and said some truly horrid things which I completely regret.

I only slap friends as a joke, and they the same with me. I've only ever put effort in to it when growing up with my brothers, but never in the face; they were always those stinging backhands to various limbs when we got into fights.
