Japan is kicking butt in the second semi-finals against Korea 5-0 after the 7th inning, game got rained out top of 8th.

Cuba is moving on to finals after today's afternoon game.

Little late for the thread, but I've really enjoyed this so far. I mean, the US may have played embarassingly, but I really missed baseball, and this was a hell of a way to kick off the season.

Heh. Korea wins 2 against Japan, and loses the crucial one. Didn't Japan get extremely lucky because Mexico beat the US? Japan had like 0.7 points higher or something even though they lost to Korea earlier this week.



Oh well. Japan and Cuba. People speculated it would be the US and Japan. Ya, I can't believe the US played so horribly. :doh: This will be interesting. Korea played very well without any errors throughout the tournament. Go Cuba the underdogs (I think)!

Indeed. I'd love too see Cuba take this.

Sidenote: Has anyone seen the individual player photos that Cuba has issued? They're all done in this strange light. Makes it look like a commemorative stamp set.
