BT Home Hub | Option 3 | SLOW...

I recieved my BT Home Hub on friday and my stats are as follows:

I am only getting download speeds of around 15kbps, I was told to wait for the 7-8 day optimisation period and i just wondered if anyone on here has the home hub and can verify that speeds do pickup after the 7-8 days?

Cheers.

I have the same hub I think and I have to say the speed doesn't exactly impress me either that's for sure. BT claims most areas in england can't make use of the full speed yet, since the phonelines haven't been prepared for phonecall and net use at those speeds yet or something (hence why they say up to 8mb rather then 8mb speed) Whether there's truth to any of what they said though I don't know however I did these tests a while back....

BT is supposed to be as fast as my old isp or so they claim once the phonelines are updated....

oh rly? Then why is it not even close.... :annoyed: anywho as far as I know the max speed for it is 54.0 mbps, the systems so automated though I'm sorry to admit I'm not aware of any speed up tricks
