when song stuck on you head... does it annoy you?

sometime, when I listen a good, catchy song, it's terribly stuck on my head for only god knows how long. I couldnt do anything but helplessly listen to that song in whatever occasion I do, even when I'm tired already and going to have sleep.

Sometimes it annoy me, and what I usually do is listening that music again and again till I'm bored and eventually I will forget the song unconsciously.

How about you? anyone ever experience silly stuff like this? getting a song helplessly stuck in your head?

Actually no. When a song, especially ones that I love so much, sticks in my head, I find it kinda ... pleasurably charged. It intrigues me to imagine how the piece goes. THEN, when I physically listen to the piece, that's when all the "charges" pay off. In contrast with you, I try limiting the amount of the listnening times if it's the piece that I really like, to extend the life of the pleasure.
Now it becomes annoying when a melody stuck in my head but i can't remember the title or where it comes from. It bugs me greatly. I used to spend two days (of course with eating and sleeping) to trace where that unknown melody in my head comes from.

I hate it when a song gets stuck in my head, like right before any major tests at school... when i m trying to remember facts, all i can think of is the song playing over and over in my head, so sometimes, yes i get annoyed... :(

I've had the Garibaldi Temple theme from Castlevania Curse of Darkness in my head all day, and something about the pacing of that song makes it very irritating to get stuck with, however nice it may be to listen to on its own.

So, in short, yes, it does happen to me. Not as often as it used to, but I'm far from immune.

I'd say it's pretty bad when a song I listen to doesn't get stuck in my head. The ones that do are better than the ones that don't. I regard it as a mark of quality than anything else. I have no interest in passive listening.

My mind works funny...I think better (and do other things better) when I have songs stuck in my head.

I've never had a song stuck on my head before. You might want to get that checked out.

As for songs getting stuck in my head, yeah that's happened and I usually hum the song until I am able to play it out. It doesn't really annoy me.

It's not always a song that you like that gets stuck in your head, which is the unfortunate part. It annoys me because I will hum it every 5 minutes throughout the entire day before the fragment of the song disappears from my mind. It tends to never be a whole song but rather a part of it, and I remember it for a whole day before it exits my mind.

I don't really mind when a song I like a lot gets stuck in my head since I listen to music contantly and it happens often. I usually just go listen to the song that is stuck in my head for a while and switch to something else. I absolutely hate it when songs I dislike get stuck in my head. It always pops up randomly and usually at the most inconvenient time.

It's annoying when, for example, you're researching the lymphatic system and just because of that one phrase all you can hear is "Everything Comes Down To Poo" whilst trying desperately to concentrate >_______>

I think it happens to just about everyone, eriol. Though it doesn't irritate me because it never tends to last... Unless I consciously want it to.

When a song gets stuck to my head, usually I take it off. If it happens to wriggle inside my head, though, I just play it, since I have all my music with me everywhere I go. Then I play something else. Problem solved.

Something I find strange is that the songs that get stuck in my head are sometimes songs I haven't listened to in quite a long time. Usually I end up remembering one hook/melody or pehaps some of the lyrics and end up humming it quite a lot. A lot of the time it probably irritates other people (if I hum) instead of me, though.

I don't have a problem with it.
