Post Your Favorite Car
I don't think I ever remade this thread after gamingforce got reset last time. Feel free to post more than one! If you're anything like me, you like looking at pictures of cars. Last time I did this, I posted a Firebird as my favorite car, and people were like 'WTF, your name is DeLorean'. Well, DeLorean designed the early Firebird. So there.
http://www.frameupclassics.com/1967%...bird%20web.jpg And Also... http://www.damianpenny.com/archived/DeLorean.JPG And my modern favorite... The BMW M5 http://www.chooseyouritem.com/autos/...000.BMW.M5.jpg |
I love right side drive Mini Coopers. My roommate from college has one and one of my best friends just got one.

I'm all about the deceased makes.
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s...-amx-1968c.jpg The 1968 AMC AMX, the company's attempt to compete with the Corvette and Mustang. Terrific styling, good performance, only a few thousand made before it was reduced to an options package on the Javelin. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s...ion_mk3/kf.jpg The 1951-53 Kaiser Manhattan. Very few people have heard of the make or model, but it's very aesthetically pleasing, super-rare, and innovative. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s..._Commander.jpg The 1953 Studebaker Commander. Designed by Raymond Loewy, this sleek coupe was decades ahead of its time and hard to find today. |

Dodge Viper GTS 1996

http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/6...10coupexo6.jpg Yeah, they still make them. Don't look all that different either, which is a good thing. |
For sheer everythingness the Aston Martin DB9:

My favorite car ever since the day I laid eyes on one has always been the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...tCamaroZ28.jpg It's a little out of my price range but hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll have one around the time I'm balding and need something to make up for or an emotional hole needs filling during my mid-life crisis. |
I see Vipers every frickin' day, so I've kind of lost the dazzle with looking at them. But every now and then, still,I'll be looking at one and just get all red in the face. They are kool cars, but not the best, I think.
And since I like a lot of simple things... http://images.motortrend.com/feature...Front_View.jpg |
That 1953 Studebaker Commander is a good looking car!
I love the Opel GT. I also like the way the new Corvettes look. http://www.classiccar.com/photopost/...14/Opel_GT.jpg This is a good example of a stock GT. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...reitreifen.jpg Here is one with a stock body and better looking wheels. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...0/72opelgt.gif How the headlights operate on my orange GT. They made cars is some pretty awful colors back in the day. http://www.sportscarmarket.com/img/a...s-copypsrl.jpg I'd have to say that the BMW 3.0 CS which was built from 1968-1975 was a sharp looking car. Additional Spam: http://www.pipe-arts.com/project/gt1/max.jpg Here is a highly modified GT with a 16v 2.0L turbo ecotec engine under the hood. Not a bad color on a GT. |

A few more oddities near and dear to my heart: http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s...n_mk3/cord.jpg The 1936 Cord 812 supercharged coffin-nose speedster. The pinnacle of 30's engineering and art deco styling, with performance that's good even by today's standards. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s...rls_Graham.jpg The 1938 Graham-Paige "Spirit of Motion" sedan. Made for only one year, these art-deco beauties look like they're moving even when in park. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s.../bricklin1.jpg The Bricklin SV-1, a gull-wing Canadian auto unrelated to the DeLorean and even rarer. Thanks to their body design, they're nigh-impossible to repair and only a handful exist. |
call me a nerd if you want, but I really want one of these...
http://www.pinklily.com.au/images/media/smartcar.jpg I love smart cars!! |
Affordable:

The Mazda Miata is hopfully going to be my 'reward car' to myself when I move out to NYC and get a job good enough to pay for it (From what I've seen, its actually not that bad, price-wise). Granted, I wont actually need it to drive around the city, but I'll need something to get to and from CT.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ress/Photo.jpg Because I'm picky, it'll have to be the hard top, and definitely a darker color: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ta_hard_to.jpg Lots of people say its a death-trap as a two-seater, but fuck it, the idea of geting one is one of the few things keeping me going at this point. Worse comes to worse, I'll fall back on what EVERYONE seems to be getting these days: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...tangconv07.jpg Can you tell I want a convertable? Or a motorcycle... :eagletear: |

Yes yes yes! I'd love it in that color pink too :D |
I was really hoping no one would post a Mustang, because I knew I wouldn't be able to resist flaming them. Everyone drives a fucking Mustang. It's lost it's value.
|
I never really got the appeal of the modern Mustangs myself. I don't think they did a good job with the design nor do I like the base models. Speaking of Mustangs, my friend Jamal had a 2004 Mach 1 for a while and I gunned around town in that car a few times... To this day I still remain unimpressed by these cars. :/
I got another car I'd like to add to this list now that I'm still here: I've only seen one of these myself and it was a stunningly beautiful car. God only knows how much it was being sold for and, quite frankly, I think my blood pressure probably doesn't want me to know. http://photos.velocityjournal.com/im...haeton5801.jpg 1932 Cadillac Phaeton V16 |
