Today was a good day. =O

You guys ever have memorable good days? Everything seemed to go right? Explain? I'm assuming we've all had one; this was mine today.
  • Woke up energized from sufficient sleep and good health =o
  • Went to work. Half my shift was preparing and participating in some party for the top two most improved physiques at the gym. Ate a few tostadas and some cake and apple juice. Socialized with the people and then went back to work. For some reason the boss was in a good mood and he let me go home twenty minutes early.
  • Spent two hours with a girl I met at the gym. Our first time together alone out of the gym and it was really nice. =OOOOOOO! Most of this time was spent at the park.
  • Watched the second half of The Empire Strikes Back, my favorite SW movie.
  • Ate a ridiculously awesome plate of spaghetti.
  • Smoked four joints straight with seven other good friends. Just spending time with friends I like and trust can really make my day. =o Talked about basic astronomy, theology, and even religion and the entire experience was relaxing. Something I'm not really used to feeling when I have people discussing these topics around me.
  • Am wrapping my day up by posting at Gamingforce before going to bed. Something I've done virtually every day of my life since joining here (with obvious exceptions). =o;;;

So yeah, the things that made my day vary in a well rounded way. Not sure if General is a good forum for this but someone else can help me on the location if they'd like.

Do tell!

Yeah, I have days like that, although they're very rare. I can't give any specific examples, but sometimes, on these perfect days, things that are usually one way change and become another way, which can be prove to be eerie albeit awesome. An example would be a few weeks ago I actually got an early mark from school, which is unheard of (an hour early, or close to). I'm sure the teacher who let me go would have gotten in trouble if my early leave was divulged, but as if I would rat her out.

Some days it's purely psychological. What I mean by this, is occasionally (say, once every fortnight) I'll wake up and feel invigorated and excited about my day, then I'd remain optimistic throughout. That mindset can make even the most boring of situations seem fun and exuberant. Mind you, this typically occurs on weekends (obviously).

Glad to hear of your good day, too. Sounded awesome.

So, no one wants to share their good days? THIS WON'T END LIKE THIS.

My best day ever was April 28th of this year, which was the day of my school's film festival where I premiered Losers. Everything had been building up to that day since the beginning of the year. I was eagerly awaiting the response my film would get, because honestly I didn't know what the repsonse would be. I didn't know if people would get my humor or like the characters.

Sure enough, they did. Losers was the biggest hit of the festival, and nothing can ever compare to how I felt during and after the premiere. Countless people came up to me, congratulating me, giving me praise for the film, etc. It was enthralling.

After the festival, we went to a huge wrap party at my friend's place, and we just laughed and drank the night away with all of my friends and a few of my professors. It was the most fun I've ever had in my life.

ya most of my good days revolve around a) finally spending time with a girl i've been noticing and b) chillin' with close friends.

usually both in the same day make for an awesome day.

In the past 24 hours, I've had a quarrel with one of my closest friends, spent half the night at the E.R. after spraining a toe by hitting it against a wall, and spent half the day alone and unable to practise after hitting the back of my hand against a door knob.

Good days do exist. Today wasn't one.

Congrats to Kenobi. Its a joyful thing for every aspect of a day to go right, instead of left.

I haven't had a good day for quite some time. Think "Alexander's terrible, horrible no good very bad day"...except everyday, even in Australia.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for me.

- Laid in bed mostly since I was feeling really tired from the work week.
- Did some laundry (productivity on a weekend = ++)
- After feeling refreshed from a long bath, text-messaged the bf to go on a date, he agrees. =)
- After bf gets off work at 5, he heads home to go change and after that we go have a picnic dinner (just a simple spaghetti dinner and a turkey-swiss sandwich to share and a fruit salad) at the park on top of a hill looking over the city.
- Cuddling under a blanket watching the view and/or sunset by the beach = rocks.
- Then we went to go get ice cream at an actual ice cream/candy parlor. (Yes, our town actually has one of those) Yum!
- After hanging out some more I went home, had a cup of tea with dad and discovered that my internet is back and running at home.

Yes, yesterday was indeed, a great day.

I've had many memorable days, but this one stands out above them all. It was 4 years ago actually:

-Went with my family up the mountain to purchase season's passes for that winter. It was the first time ever getting a seasons :)
-While we were there, we each got our own choice of clothing from the mountain store.
-Went for a hike.
-Went out to dinner at one of my favourite local restaurants.
-Ended the day by watching "Austin Powers: Goldmember" in theaters.

It was a great day with my family, and was way to out of hand for my 13 year old brain to comprehend at the time. Now, it doesn't seem that special, but I rarely ever get spoiled days like that anymore.

I don't usually remember good days, I usually remember bad days. Although its mostly because a lot of days are actually pretty good, as hard as some of those days could be, pulling through and a good night sleep is something that makes up for it. People sometimes don't appriciate a good day.

Krelian Jun 12, 2007 01:00 PM

I've had a string of "good" days recently, but it's been months since the last day I thought at the end of the day, "oh god I'm so happy".

It's a shame days like that always have embarassing repurcussions. Like the time I was stoned mindless and woke up in bed with the longtime unrequited romantic interest of my best friend. :|

Summonmaster Jun 12, 2007 01:40 PM

Too bad good days happen only when you least expect them.

My last one was exactly one week ago, and was a very simple good day:
- got up before noon and wasn't tired for once
- cleaned a bit around the house
- sunny day outside, went to work
- all my good/great students practiced hard, all my delinquent/not so great students didn't show up
- refined a couple of songs through practice during my breaks
- watched 14 episodes of HunterXHunter straight
- went to sleep at 3

Sure that would be weird for most people, but oddly enough, sometimes when I get the whole day to play games uninterrupted I don't feel like it has been a good day.

EDIT: Lol I can't read properly. Someone please change my poll choice!

I notice that ever since I started exercising on a regular basis and stopped drinking myself retarded every night (Don't get me wrong, I still do that once in a while but I've kept it down to a very bare minimum lately) I actually wake up feeling in ridiculously good spirits. I know that they tell you that exercising releases endorphins into the brain but DAMN it feels good to wake up energized every day.

I mean, sure you have some shitty days but it's so much easier to handle them emotionally when you have a clear head and a responsive system. Word to the wise: Always go to sleep in a good mood and you'll wake up in a good mood.

Famous last words :p

I've had some really good days. ^_^

The current ones are

When I found out my daddy didn't have anything seriously wrong with him. He scared me the day he called my mum to come get him from the chicken houses. He couldn't walk or anything. Turns out he had vertigo.

When my baby boy,Albel, was born. It was a very happy day/night. Although it was a little painful,it was all worth it. I was so happy that so many people came to the hospital to see me and support me.

Mine and OZZ's one year anniversary. We went out to eat, then hit up the mall and purchased a few things. Well he bought them for me since he was treating me that day. He gave me some beautiful jewelery and well that day was just awesome.

Saturday Night we met up with an old friend we hadn't seen in awhile (along with 4 other friends.) We ate at the Spectrum in the casino and talked for a long time.

Good days definitely exist, though I haven't really been having any lately. Part of me believes that I need to 'make' my good days, but at this point, I'm too lazy. :p

K_ Takahashi Jun 13, 2007 01:07 AM

I havent had a complete 'good' day since '03 or so.

Looking at the way things are now, I dont forsee one coming until sometime next decade.

I had one good day couple of months ago, woke up took a shower and felt amazingly refreshed. Fixed my hair on my first try went into the kitchen and the breakfast was already done. Mom had made scrambled eggs and some toast and it was delish. Spent a couple of hours replaying shenmue and then my friend called and we headed to the store and got some liquor, went to his place and started getting drunk.
It was starting to get late now, so we headed to the town and hit da club. Got a free drink because the bartender was nice and then I ended up sleeping in a park next to some girl. Woke up around 6 went home and slept some more.
Woke up with a cold. That was the last great day that really stuck to me. :).

Last good night I had was out under the stars as well. A buddy of mine and myself went fishing for Steelhead catfish. We lazily ambled along putting out lines so we could have a rather large breakfast in the morning. We went jetskiing on a beautiful lake when the leaves were changing. (It was the beginning of autumn) We got really drunk, made a fire and pitched a tent in the wilderness. We ended up sleeping on a white sandbar with starlight and moon shining an eerie light.

Then I woke with a hangover and it seems that it never really went away. Plus I got sand in my crack and lord knows thats wonderful.

Zip Jun 13, 2007 07:32 AM

For some reason that reminded me of Brokeback mountain. Sorry :(

RainMan Jun 13, 2007 07:36 AM

I never mentioned whether it was a guy or a girl, friend. ;) But yea, he was totally a guy... (You know, somehow I knew someone was going to bring up a gay reference to my comment.)

I guess its NEVER, ever cool to pitch a tent with another guy. :p

Every day is a good day for me, I've got women on the left of me, and British dudes on the right of me. Yeah~~~
