Best DS light accessories?
Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions for good ds light accessories. I did a quick search for any other threads on the topic and didn't see any. Thanks! -Vertigo |
First order of business is an oversized novelty stylus. It's absolutely crucial. I use a Mario Kart one!
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...smariokart.jpg I think like every second game in America has a pre-order bonus of a novelty stylus. Aside from that, I dunno, I use a Hori touch screen protector, it's pretty good. On my old Xbox DS I used some generic Aussie brand ones that made everything fuzzy looking. So stay away from 'Generic Aussie brand' ones okay! |
No 'Generic Aussie brand', got it =D
And thanks for the screen protector suggestion. |
You sound like you aren't really looking for anything specific. Why waste your money on accessories you don't really need?
Here's a suggestion: Save your money and buy games! |
Maybe he REALLY likes accessories. I have the Phoenix Wright Objection wiper attached to mine. It just looks awesome. Along with the finger stylus it's the best preorder bonus ever.
|
I guess I should be a bit more specific =)
Anyone have good experiences with any new ds: - media/homebrew accessories (ex. ds motion card) - nice custom cases - good extended battery packs (looking for one that uses regular batteries) I agree that games are the glory of the system...but if there are some nice accessories out there I'm not past the idea of picking them up =j |

More like an R4 with a 1gig Kingston microSD (Japanese-made), I just bought it and I swear, it's the best DS purchase I've ever made.
It's compatible with pretty much every DS game and you can fit a ton of games on it. It's probably the simplest way to pirate games, just drag-and-drop. |

What's the catch? High Price? Doesn't work on US DS Lites? Shoddily Made? Warranty will be voided? I must know! =D |

Well, you took all my concerns and knocked them down point by point! I think I'll pick one up next time I have a spare $50. Since we're on the topic, Is there any large difference between the R4 and the M3?
|
I might want to convince my parents to get me one of these also. Sue me for not having a credit card, but hell, I wanna see which one is the best to get, so information on certain homebrews would be useful. And perhaps info on which support GBA roms also. <.<
|
I just retrieve this thread
and now I might be interest in the R4 if I don't need to flash or change anything in my DS ^^ |
R4 is essentially the same thing as an M3, but with different graphics and the like. Same hardware, etc. Go with whatever you can find cheaper.
The only way to get GBA support is if you get a Slot-2 flash cart (a flash cart that has both a DS cart-sized cart and a GBA-sized cart). The same company that sells the M3 also offers a Slot-2 solution, as well as a bunch of other manufacturers like EZ Team. |
do you guys have a good and safe website where we can buy those article and that ship to Canada?

Ah , good to hear your opinon Jazz =) And thank you for those who followed up with more links and suggestions! Edit: Noticed this as well http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-cycevo by these people http://www.cyclopsds.com/cgi-bin/cyc...l?page=support Anyone have any thoughts on this product? Looks like it is comming out and is similar to the R4 |
So how exactly do those work? You need an SD Card Reader (or some other way to put files on your SD card), and essentially just throw ROMs on the chip and load it up and go?

For those who are looking for an R4 with a Japan 1 GB microSD and free shipping for ONLY $44.95, you can get it here. I bought (another) one last month and it took almost 2 weeks to ship from Hong Kong to Rhode Island.
