Photoshopping Bullshit
 

I'm using a Wacom Intuos 2 that I've had for awhile. I keep getting these weird jagged edges when doing smooth circles (as seen below). My tablet is free of dirt or grit, and I have the default settings going in PS including the smoothing option on the brush tool.

I opened the same size canvas in CS2 and did a similar experiment to make sure it wasn't a "steady hand issue", but there were no jaggies.

Now suddenly, I'm having the same problem in CS2 as well. I've installed the latest drivers from Wacom which seemed to fix the problem initially. But now it's still screwing up.

Jagged edges means you're drawing too fast for the tablet's refresh rate, usually.

I haven't changed the way I'm drawing at all.

Is it doing this only in the adobe photoshop programs? If you still can just install the previous drivers you were using earlier.

I sorta get the same issue but it's how Blah said, drawing too fast will produce that effect. Usually it pops the most on msn messenger and painter IX. In other programs like CS2 and Oc seem to never happen as long as I don't attempt to speed sketch a large circle in under a second.
