B.B's Big Day

It may happen this year, it may happen next year, but it's definitely going to happen sometime. Barry Bonds will pass Hank Aaron, and gain status as the all-time home run hitter. Seeing as this will happen sooner or later, I'd like to see what the majority of people would do if they happened to catch the infamous ball number 756.

Personally, I'd sell it on Ebay. Hell, you might might as well take advantage of the oppertunity and earn a quick few thousand dollars.

I'm interested to hear your opinions.

It's not even remotely possible that I would be there, but in the unlikely event that I did catch the ball, I'd give it to him. Milestones like these are once per generation. He's not going to achieve something comparable to this twice in a lifetime. He deserves to keep the ball that commemorates such a momentous occasion. Maybe he won't keep it and will auction it for charity or something. Either way, he deserves that choice.

Sell it on Ebay. Mainly because I need money to pay off my new monitor, and because I don't really care about Baseball enough to keep it.

If I had any respect for Bonds, I'd give it to him. But his record will be built upon his involvement in a shady scandal. If he'd earned his legacy with no tarnish, I'd let him keep his artifact, but this isn't the case.

Honestly, I could use the money. I don't know that I'd auction it off or if things would even progress that far. I'm sure I'd receive offers before I ever got myself to a computer. I'd take whatever would give me some comfort for several years and assist me in building my own future. I wouldn't scalp people for millions or anything. I'd also make sure that the buyer's intentions were just and that they were purchasing it to make certain that it wound up in Cooperstown or something equally noble.

Being a big Pittsburgh Pirates fan, I wanna say I'd blow it up, or something crazy like that, but let's be realistic here: I'm not gonna waste an opportunity to cash in on the biggest record-breaking home run ball of all-time (in before Jew jokes). I'd put that baby up in a private auction house, and let the cash roll in.

I'd maybe do that too, but, honestly, having the LAST home run ball he hit is more important, I think.

I was going to post almost the same thing. I'd be pretty tempted to destroy the damn thing, but realistically I'd take the cash.
