Good 'Drawing' Software.

I'm looking for a good drawing, drafting and designing program. I have Photoshop CS2 but it doesn't have the kind of tools I'm looking for. If you take a look at my sig, I drew the body frame of it in flash then did the rest in Photoshop. Flash is a great program for drawing, but for me its a waste of space since I only use 10% of it. Does anyone know of a good, alternative program I can use for drawing? For example, something that let's you draw a straight line then bend it without having jagged edges, unlike in Microsoft Paint.

Thanks in Advance.

EDIT: Forgot I deleted my sig, but heres another example of somethings I drew in Flash, then manipulated with Photoshop.

Yeah thats not really drawing. I was going to suggest Painter IX.5 or openCanvas but those are for drawing drawings not making sigs and crap. Photoshop really is probably the best bet. I think.

I thought Adobe Illustrator was the best for this kind of stuff? I've seen a lot of digital drawings/paintings on deviantART where the artist says they've used Illustrator.

I think you need to investigate Photoshop's pen tools. They allow you to draw using vectors, giving you the ability to manipulate the linework without losing detail at any resolution.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Adobe Illustrator was the way to go. :) It has what I'm looking for and then some. It's ironic because I always thought it was just a Power Point/Premiere hybrid. I'm going to make good use of these programs once I find the right outlet. For now I'm just using them for signatures as practice.
