Directions from Google

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ou...Get+Directions

Google gave me this little advice to get to Paris From New York. I got a really good laugh out of this. So I would like to share.

Apparently, it takes 29 days to swim across the Atlantic Ocean. Huh, I didn't know that.

Gechmir Apr 13, 2007 10:05 AM

Take THAT Columbus.

I poked it and it made a sad sound Apr 13, 2007 10:08 AM

Gee, I really love MySpace forwards -_- (I got 2 of these on my bulletin wall this morning).

29 days to swim the Atlantic Ocean to France, though. I wonder how they calculated that amount.

"Take a slight right"
Not a complete one, but just steer your vehicle a touch to the right. By how much is up to you.
o Google u.

That is funny. Would have been cool if it said "Pay for flight across ocean, or you have to swim 3,462 miles".

I didn't know you could get directions like that.... maybe I can find out how far it is to Korea or Japan on there.

The Wise Vivi Apr 14, 2007 01:22 PM

Hmmm... that sucks. Oh well, maybe I will have to send Google an email and figure something out. ;)

They're going to get sued eventually, because someone tried to take the instructions seriously and died.

Now that I want to see some proof for! Also can people really sue due to their own stupidity over something like this? :tpg:

Well, not for their own stupidity (not without help from a medium anyway) but it is giving out false information, even if it would take a completely idiotic and gullible sod to actually follow through on it. The family might get something, but maybe they wouldn't want to admit being related to such a cretin.

I wonder why it doesn't work for the other countries you mentioned?

Congle line of abuse. Or is that conga-line. Or congaline. Apr 14, 2007 05:04 PM

Of course any trip that takes you accross the atlantic gives you that step as part of the process. I still laughed a bit even if I did see it on GameFAQs first :3
