Yeah, I saw the Video Thread. It didn't say the 'Official' Video Thread.

Spyer Mar 16, 2006 12:51 PM

Haha, that was pretty funny. I'm surprised they didn't cut him off the phone immediately.

Oh well, funny stuff.

Tawnee Van Pelt Mar 16, 2006 02:14 PM

It's funny, yeah, but not THAT funny.

Elcee Mar 16, 2006 02:21 PM

Are you referring to the people in the studio giving it a laughing ovation?

Furby May 6, 2006 12:22 AM

I think that's funny. I find it amusing that they didn't cut him off.

Synthesis May 6, 2006 12:57 AM

"These Dell's are great for porno". I find that line hilarious. That's pretty smooth how the salespeople used what he said to motivate people to buy the product. "He got his and obviously he's loving it". Clever.

I wonder how many they sold that day ^_^
He just said what few people were waiting to hear.

Eleo May 6, 2006 09:56 AM

If anything, they sold way more of those computers after he said that.

Rockgamer May 6, 2006 01:34 PM

This was kinda funny, but I've seen funnier on-air prank calls. It was funny how they kept talking to him instead of cutting him off though.

Leknaat May 6, 2006 02:07 PM

It was late at night. There are FCC regulations that allow certain things to be aired at certain times.

Plus, I looked this up--seems the censor isn't as diligent at 2AM as it is during the day.....LOL

Rockgamer May 6, 2006 02:13 PM

But it doesn't take a censor to just hang up the phone. I don't think the content is objectionable (as long as it's not a kids' show, I don't think the FCC cares at all if you just say the word porno), but you would think that once they figured out it was a joke that they would just cut him off anyway. Besides, this was on cable, something that the FCC doesn't regulate anyway, so they probably don't have censors to begin with.

Leknaat May 7, 2006 12:04 AM

No. QVC has censors, and the censor explanation is theirs--not mine.

Maybe the host was on his last day and didn't care....LOL

Little Shithead May 7, 2006 12:19 AM

I like how nobody apparently realizes that it wasn't actually aired on QVC.

It's from Jimmy Kimmel Live, ok.

Didn't the ABC logo look a little out of place to you people.
