falling in love again
is it hard? I wont be with the girl i love much longer, as i am going to college and we are separating. I can't imagine ever being able to love another person like i love her ever again...., and if possible, it seems like it would take sooo much.......is it an easy thing to fall in love again? is it possible? i hope so

It only seems impossible until you meet someone even better than your soon-to-be ex. You'll see.
|
Yeah. It's possible.
Enjoy your first year of college though. Don't be too focused on love during that time. |
*SOB CRY ETC* |
Yes it's possible, though I find it hilarious that if anyone who truly believed that "there's always someone better out there" actually said that in front of their wife/husband, they'd probably get a swift beatdown. "I love my wife more than anyone, and she's great! But... there's someone better out there."
Oddly enough, though, it isn't hard. Not unless you make it hard for yourself, which would be dumb. |

Yeah its easy to fall in love again, it happened to me. I was so hell bent on my ex, but when I started my new job, I fell for a girl there. I completely forgot about my ex and pursued this new girl. she shut me down, but i'm sure there will be others to come. I guess you just have to be able to see that new person who can be able to knock out your ex from your mind/heart.l

If you're mature enough to realize that a long-distance relationship would not work out between you two simply because you moving away / going to a different school, then I can only congratulate you for coming to reality with your situation. The next step is for you to realize that there's no harm in testing the waters. If in 4 to 5 years after dating a few girls and you have had no strong desire / feelings for any girl than the one you're currently dating / have feelings for, there's no harm in calling and saying "you know, I've dated a few girls in college but I still can't feel the same way about anyone the way I felt about you." Of course if she's commited to a relationship I wouldn't recommend saying that, but if she's still available and willing to uphold a mutual relationship with you, I don't think I'd mind such a comment if I were in her shoes. If that trully was your honest feelings, I can only take it as a compliment. That's just me though. But again, like I said in the beginning, since you're at the stage of life where you're just beginning to embark on college, the chances of you meeting another special someone are probably higher than you think. You've got at least 50+ years to find that out before you have to worry about dying, I wouldn't sweat it. |
Yes, love can be found again. I had a few boyfriends before I met my current one. It may take a few misses before you get a hit.

Considering you are responsible for this legendary thread I would advise you to 'Man Up' and mature a little before trying to find love at college. Just because one relationship didn't work out that doesn't mean that you should give up on love entirely. Everyone has spells where they we become convinced it's never going to happen again, but it usually does, especially when you're not looking for it.

Anythings possible right?
My story - Two and a half year relationship turned sour because he wanted something better and just didn't wanna tell me. Fell apart. Almost six months later, met a guy. Fell in love and are still together. Secretly... still haven't gotten over the ex. Maybe it's not possible |
Sob fucking stories. Knk got it right. You're clearly not very emotionally mature yet. If you can't handle break-ups with a little class, you shouldn't date people. Grow up.
