Some questions concerning Ar Tonelico...

I'm recently interested in buying a copy of this game myself, but got a little confused over some problems:

1. Is the "Sekai no Owari de Utai Tsuzukeru Shoujo" the 1st part of its story, with "Melody of Elemia" being its second? Are their stories in anyway related?
2. Does Ar Tonelico have an US version? Is it in English?
3. For the NTSC J discs, I see a normal edition of the game and a "THE BEST" edition of the game. Are they in anyway different?

The normal version:http://tw.image.bid.yahoo.com/users/..._eb08126-4.jpg

THE BEST version:http://tw.image.bid.yahoo.com/users/..._aruto01-9.jpg

Many many thanks :)

The japanese version is in japanese. The american version is in english. Basic information you should know already.

The BEST version is a reprint, much like Greatest Hits or Platinum. The cover is more tacky looking and the cases are almost always silver. The manuals and games are printed the same. Some saved games don't work from original copies on BEST versions, but I wouldn't have a clue for this game.

1. Both are exactly the 'same' game except one in English and one in Japanese (Duh~ :p)

2. "Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia" if that is what is printed on the cover, then you've got the English version.

3. Well what you have in the normal version pic is actually the Japanese cover (which is what I have)... however I haven't seen the "The Best" edition cover yet. I personally have the S.E. English Cover for the game which looks similar to the Japanese one as well.

From what I gather from Elixir's post, "The Best" is like "Platinum" label here in Aust so... which is like the reprint of the more popular game. Therefore it shouldn't be any different in content (think of it as Ar Tonelico v2).

Regarding the save game, I personally have no problem saving on both Japanese version and English version. However just don't play this game on PS3... it will corrupt your save files!

I was unsure about that because after going through several sites about Ar Tonelico, I could not find a single screenshot with English dialogue bubbles. I looked again after seeing your post and finally found some in a Chinese forum.
Does the game(US version) have voicings for the dialogues? If so, are they in English?

You can select between English and Japanese.
