Sooooooooo, the new heroes are fun. My recent favorite is either Spirit Breaker or Ogre Magi.

Everyone tried out the new AA AI AS settings?

Whats with these new settings? Never experienced them before. In anycase for me I love using the stealth assasin, although goblin techies can be extremely delightful as well, until they start popping gems'n wards.

In anycase has anyone had any luck with the new heros in .28?

.28 is soooooooooooo last week.

.29 is out already. :p

And yeah, I've done well with both heroes. The avatar's haunt is AWESOME beginning game. The Witch Doctor has the wonderful Death Ward..with enough mana regen its nice to have HP regen where you lose NO mana. :D

Witch+Scepter = GG. Especially if he's with someone like Venom with a nice DOT.

Looks like not to many dota's fan here. Play the 6.27b AI map. But seems to me the heroes AI don't work too well.

Still lookin for the favourite hero. Any suggestion for strength heroes?

I still use my fav, Rikimaru just for the sake of everyone saying "U NUB U INVISIBLE USER COME OUT ME KILL U" Another Fav of mine would be Akasha, her Skills are really awesome.

Once I level Axe up enough I can rape pretty much anyone, even if I have to wait in the bushes until they drop below 600 HP for the insta-kill.

If u're interested in DotA you should come over to Malaysia for a holiday. DotA is the most popular cyber cafe craze over here. Totally overtook CS in popularity daaaym.

I know. I'm Malaysian. Singapore isn't very much different either.

HAHA. Go into most Cyber Cafes and you'll be treated to the sounds of 'Owning..' 'Holy Shit!' etcetc.

HAHAHA. And lunatics screaming vulgarities at the top of their lungs. (I love the one where I went to a CC and some fella kept screaming, 'Sniper! Assassinate!'

Hmm. I'm not really sure why they go to the US side.

Yeah, I'm on Blue occasionally, but you know how unreliable Malaysian internet connection can be.

I'll do the explanation, then. Mine is just a rough one, and it might not be that accurate, but it'll prolly give you an idea.

DotA = Defense Of The Ancients.

It's a custom warcraft 3 FT map, based on the Aeon Of Strife map. (which means it's a hero based type of game)

You start by selecting a hero, and you pretty much end up using that hero all the time. LVL up, get items (very a lot of items), kill creeps, kill heroes, you know the drill.

The goal is to destroy the enemy's 'castle'.

www.getdota.com to get the maps. You'll prolly need the newer patches to run them.

Well it said its a Warcraft 3 custom map...but if you've never played any WC3 customs, this COULD be an acceptable response.

Seriously though, if you ever play online, you know what this is.

Heck I might as well even be bold enough to state that DotA is what attracts ppl to get War3 these days.

My frens bought Wc3 just to play dota, nothing else.
Some of them got it, just to try dota.

Is it really that good? From what I've heard it's just one map with a lot of heroes and a lot of items. I guess I'll go try it.

actually, it isn't that good. it's just it's so popular, that everyone feels compelled to try it over here.

but it's fun if you play with friends and against friends.

WoW addict now, but occasionally I pick up DotA when we're no raiding or anything. Stealth Assassin is still my favorite, because, well, just like my Rogue I can stealth around without people seeing me.

Your argument doesn't exactly hold up when the thread is already 11 posts long. How about learning how to use the Internet.

One of my friends has been raving about this game. I have yet to play any of the Warcraft 3 custom map-mods, but I might just have to give this one a try.
