Flash Tron

Remember that movie? It was a classic. Because of the movie, multiple things came from it. SO this brings us to the classic Lightcycle

Those little bikes in the computer world that Leave a wall and make only 90 degree turns. Well I've come accross the classic game of Lightcycles online in flash based form.

What do you guys think? I can only get to lvl 6. After that, I'm kinda beat. The closest I've come to finishing that lvl is when the computer wins 3v2

I'm sensing just a little tron fanboy love here, but I'm surprised you never mentioned SWRON... which doesn't seem to be working any more... or maybe it's just my computer? :eagletear:

Awesome. I remember there used to be a Light Cycle game that was able to play multiplayer a while back. It took a lot of resources if I'm recalling correctly, but it was like a 3D Light Cycle game complete with the de-rezzing sound effects and everything.

Playing that reminds me of that Tron arcade game. I'd love to be able to find a playable Tron arcade game again.

I even know how to beat the last level too. of course, It's extremely risky and I've only been able to pull it off once or twice. The trick is to turn upwards right when there is enough for two lighttrails to move down the middle of you two. then Right before you hit the wall (And I mean right before it so that no lightcycle can get through it) you need to make a 180 and head back down that alley. With luck the Comp will chicken out and you will be heading down the center aisle and he is off in his own lil quadrant, then when you get out of the alley, you need to make a quick turn towards the opponents side and block him off in that quadrant. Now you have 3/4 of the playing field while they have 1/4. You just have to outlast the oponent in that field until they hit a wall.

Edit: Just like the Attachement that I put on here. Actually quiet nice.

I finally beat all levels, including Level Omega. I got up to Level 6 last night, and kept the game on until today and tried again. Of course I had to restart at from level three to obtain Omega. I'm not quite sure how I managed to beat Omega, but all of the other levels have simple patterns to beat them. As for Omega, I usually try to cut him off so he's stuck in a box. A small box is great, but hard to obtain. A larger box is simply who can last longer. He doesn't always fill his box to the max and dies halfway or so through, usually from what I've tried

Fun.
