Best Game noone likes

have you guys ever played a game that you thought was awesome, but for some reason everyone else seem to hate the game whit a passion.
It happened to em a few times i am one of the few people who has Killer 7 at the top of my best game of all time list. I dunno why none of my freinds liked this game and most people i met on the net also...weird it did have everything going for it.
Same goes for the VS. mode of shaolin monk...why does everyoen hate it so much

what are the games that only you guys seem to enjoy!

Like I said in this thread, I would say both Rengoku's games for PSP. Only because it may seem to be a little more repetitive than your usual action game ? Come on. At least this one's good.

God Hand.

Everyone I know hates it, but I love it. It's a truly great beat 'em up fighting game which nobody seems to recognize.

It gained a 3.0 on IGN (they obviously had their e-penis bent over the difficulty), and it's very difficult. I've been working on the game for the past few months and it definitely takes skill to master. It's a fucking CULT CLASSIC which nobody appreciates but myself.

I love Final Fantasy VIII, yet it seems to be hated by many.

That would be because it has, quite possibly, the most idiotic, mind-numbing "story" in the history of Final Fantasies.

Yeah you're right but it's a game. You know ? It's not supposed to be an interactive movie. So story aside, the rest of the game was great. The battle system, the GF junctions, etc.

Yeah, it's a role playing game. A story driven game genre reliant on a strong narrative to keep it moving. The story was bloody awful, the game was bloody awful.

The draw system was a pain in the &??&%

Gechmir Mar 8, 2007 12:29 AM

Yes, it was a pain in the ampersand indeed =( FFVIII sends me into fits of rage. And FIST.

I absolutely loved the King's Field series. It is something that passed under the radar of most. But King's Field: The Ancient City? OMFG. I absolutely love that game. Weapons and items hidden in nooks and crannies everywhere... It was hard to get all the stuff everywhere, particularly because enemies KEPT COMING BACK :Y

To add to that, Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land is freaking gold. Both this and KF:AC came out around the same time and became rare shortly thereafter. But both of 'em sit on my gaming shelf! I faded out of both of them, but I'll absolutely beat them someday. Just like Shenmue 2 >__<; Someday, my love...

The one that sticks out for me is Trap Gunner, for PS1. It's a great update to the formula that started with Spy vs. Spy on NES. Basically, it's split screen the whole time, and you and your opponent move in an arena space and set traps for one another to fall into.

The traps are similar to Deception, if you've ever played a game in that series, so that in order to do serious damage, you have to use a combination of traps (like a springboard that launches you into an an exploding mine). If you get close enough, there's gun battling or melee also, and each character has different stats that they can use in the arena.

If you enter sneak mode, you can spot your enemy's traps, and if you touch them in sneak mode you enter a Simon Says minigame for a chance to disarm it or pick it up.

It's great fun multiplayer or against the computer, but everyone I talked to didn't like it for whatever reason.

Ephemeral Fantasia. They 4 other people on the planet that know about it pretty much hate it. =/

I love this thread.

Gechmir Mar 8, 2007 01:02 AM

Hey, I'm the fifth guy on the planet that knows about it, and it was okay =o I used to have a gamerip of the nifty guitar songs, but no more~

YAY FIVE PEOPLE

Soon the whole world will know.

I also liked FFVIII. I thought the story was ok, not great, but i did enjoy the battles, the draw system the GFs etc.

Also i really liked the Castlevania games for 64. The graphics weren't that great, and i always thought the controls were alright. It was a good platformer, just a bit rushed if you ask me.

MC Kids for Nintendo. McDonalds decides to make a game based on a black and mexican kid teaming up to save Ronald McDonald only lead to product placement and horrible Mario-like adventures. But for some reason...I couldn't stop playing...

I know it was hidden away on page four but this thread has been done very recently, we don't need another.
