Weird shortcut problem.
I think the picture says it all, really. For some reason Windows can't find my DVD writer [F:] when I try to access it from a shortcut. There are no problems when accessing it through My Computer.
Any ideas? http://hem.bredband.net/seanne/shortcutprob.jpg |
Is your shortcut corrupted? Have you tried making another one?
|
I've tried several times, yes. Both using 'right-click'->make shortcut and 'dragging->dropping' the icon. Regardless though, it always turns out like this.
|
Sorry, I'm not even good at technical stuff like this. I just decIded to ask something to sound smart. (And it took me a while to come up with that)
|
Is there a disc inside?
|
The result is the same regardless of whether there is or not, Grawl.
And I just noticed the same thing occurs when using a shortcut for my virtual drive as well. It should also be noted that there are no problems with shortcuts to hard drive partitions. Only optical drives, it seems. |
*bump*
Anyone got any ideas on what's going on here? |
Weird problem. Were I in your place, I'd try a system restore rollback first.
