Final Fantasy Main Theme from FF XII in here

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BkWQZhckfK4

Note that you may be spoiled for some scenes shown in the video (as in, summons and etc that have not been officially announced).

Sakimoto's rendition of the FF Main Theme is at that link. It's a video.

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!!!

You don't have to watch the video. It's the one that plays right before the title screen, so it's not the one where you hit New Game. At least go and hear the Main Theme done Sakimoto style. I LOVE IT. Especially how the title screen shows up with the song!

If you're scared bout being spoiled, have the video load and just listen to the song go when your browser is on the taskbar.

EDIT: An mp3 of the song can be found on the 4th post.

...

Beautiful. The Final Fantasy main theme almost brings a tear to my eye.

Fierydevil Mar 14, 2006 11:58 PM

Making an MP3 of it now.

Fierydevil Mar 15, 2006 12:07 AM

Aaaaand...done! Enjoy!

Eleo Mar 15, 2006 12:38 AM

In the year 2000, better synth? Music is mediocre at best :(

PiccoloNamek Mar 15, 2006 12:46 AM

To be fair, the compression is a little heavy. It probably sounds a lot better in-game.

Spinal Tap Mar 15, 2006 12:47 AM

Awesome.
Though it was usually used at the ending of the previous games that had it, I think playing it in the intro/on the first menu has a great effect too.

Typical Sakimoto. At least it's awesome.

It's Sakimoto's rendition of the "FINAL FANTASY MAIN THEME" which has been used in practically every Final Fantasy game (and composed by Uematsu). This is NOT the "theme of FINAL FANTASY XII", which is titled "Hope" (correct me if I'm wrong), and is composed by Sakimoto.

Fierydevil Mar 15, 2006 12:49 AM

I'm just ecstatic that it's even IN the game. I don't think X even had it in the soundtrack.

Yeah...sorry for the confusion. I realized that after I posted the thread how the title is misleading. feel free to edit the title.

No X has nothing of it but noone cares anyway lol...

But wow, the rendition of the main theme is excellent even if it sounds a bit "synthy"...

Fierydevil Mar 15, 2006 12:56 AM

I'm sure it sounds WAY better in the game...the rip was from the YouTube video.

Actually, That was fault on my part for misinterpreting the thread title. I haven't been paying much attention to FFXII anything at all, so I had no idea.

(We need an embarrasment smilie)

Spatula Mar 15, 2006 01:22 AM

I love this rendition of the FFIV Prologue by Sakimoto. This is right on par with my favorite version from the ending theme of FFVIII Disc 4- Track 11 at about 7'01''.

Rydia Mar 15, 2006 01:35 AM

The rendition seems good. It didn't seem too different from the original, so I appreciated that.

Spatula: That was also the version of the Final Fantasy theme I was going to bring up. It's a favorite of mine as well.

Spatula Mar 15, 2006 01:39 AM

Rydia, I love the Liberi Fatali undertones right after the prologue motif, very accented military type rhythm to juxtapose with the warm flow of the strings section.

Andrew Evenstar Mar 15, 2006 01:41 AM

I can't believe this, FFIV, being my favorite ff game, this makes me GO CRAZY. I love it, thanks for the upload :)

I can't wait to see this in the game.

katchum Mar 15, 2006 07:02 AM

I agree it's a bit heavy. I have the feeling it doesn't fit the title screen.

Megalith Mar 15, 2006 08:35 AM

Fucking awful.

The version in FFVIII was the best.

Too true.

I think i saw a glimpse of Shiva and Bahamut! this may turn out to be a better game than i thought.

NYRSkate Mar 15, 2006 03:20 PM

Yeah, I hear that in FF12 you can junction materias to your sphere grid and use summons. Sounds like a game I can afford to at least try out now.

Eleo Mar 15, 2006 03:25 PM

Wrong, you have crystals.

oddigy Mar 15, 2006 06:54 PM

Expect PSF2s to be released within the next couple of days. I'm betting there are going to be at least 100 tracks (of course, what else would fill 4 CDs? hehe.)

johnnyisip Mar 15, 2006 09:39 PM

I think the quality kinda sucks too, but it the FF Main Theme really going to be played in the opening sequence? I know it'll sound better live, but it just seems bland to me, even if it was arranged by Sakimoto. Not very original, although pretty enough.

Wall Feces Mar 15, 2006 09:52 PM

It sounds fan-freakin-tastic. Sakimoto rocks. I can't wait to hear the rest of the soundtrack after hearing this beautiful piece.

Fierydevil Mar 15, 2006 10:00 PM

I have 5 more songs (this time, officially). However, 3 songs are too big for the attachment. Here's one of them.
