Bit Torrent Issues

I'm using the program Utorrent, and as of recently I have had problems downloading any kind of file from the net.

I have a Linksys Router ( I think that's how you spell the brand name) and I went through the tutorial and opened some ports, to allow for Bit torrent. I even tried turning the firewall on and off, but this one strange problem occures.

I click on the the torrent I want to download, and Utorrent opens and starts to download. I get great speed for about 1 min, and then all of the sudden something is causing my computer to dissconect me from the net.

The "network cable has been unplugged" sign comes up, then goes away, and I get my net back. It fluctuates like that the entire time I use Utorrent, and I can never finish downloading my file, as my speed goes all the way down to 0.0kbps per second.

Sorry about the cruddy explanation, it's late.

Can anyone help me?

I have had this issue across multiple routers of different brands. Each time, disabling UPnP in either the configuration for the router or torrent client has fixed the issue.
