Anyone know the name of this?

A while back I downloaded a graphic novel from Something Awful (back when they gave registered users access to that rockin "My Stuff"-esque forum). It was about a boy named Clark Kent.

ZOMG WHO?:
Who existed in a universe where Superman, etc were merely comic books. He got made fun of by his friends for having this name. Eventually it turned out that he could fly; and that he was Superman or at least had his powers. He goes on to face many realistic problems because of his powers but nevertheless essentially lives the life of Superman.

It was an excellent read... But I don't know what it's called; even though I'm thinking of buying it. Can anyone help me out here?

Secret Identity, written by Kurt Busiek. It's a take on the original Superboy-Prime concept.

What's Superboy-Prime?

Secret Identity is a wicked read indeed and I love the artwork by Stuart Immonen. I love those moments when Clark is hovering above the Earth in space.

FYI Busiek is now working on the main "Superman" comics with Geoff Johns which looks like it'll be worth looking in to. :)

Another alternate universe Superman who got named Clark Kent, the same as Superman in the comic books of that universe. Here're scans of the story, from 1986.

I think I liked it more when I thought it was an original concept :(

Yeap, Secret Identity is one of the best Superman mini-series that I've read. I'm not sure if it would be classified under Elseworlds, but it does match up to Superman: Red Son.

speaking of Red Son, what a brilliant piece of work that is. Elseworlds has the best alternate universe minis.
I really want to read Secret Identity.
