Homeless Kids and Cameras
Found this on Digg. A guy gave a homeless kid a camera to mess around with. Basically he put the best pictures up on the thread.

Doesn't sound very convincing.
The photos are nice, though. |
The kid has a good eye. I really like the B&W piano and the popcan/fence photos, looks great.

And those are pretty neat. The concept is really cool. |
The facts aren't very convincing, and I would like to know the age of the kid. A few shots I can see a child taking, but the others I can definitely feel an amateur giving input or taking them themselves, just making is purposefully out of focus to give it a feel that a kid took them. Nevertheless, some of them have potential to be great shots if only in focus.

He was anywhere from 15-18. Can we please stop the conspiracy theories I'm pretty tired of the internet always doing this.

Sometimes a child's eye can have more visual accuity than a worn, conformed, jaded adult. I found the photos raw and beautiful. I picked up photography last year and as an 'adult' I feel like I have to deconstruct how I view the world. I imagine kids have a more wide-eyed perspective on the world at large -- at that point of their lives, they are starting to learn that there is a world outside of their home/neighborhood. Kudos to the amateur photographer!

I've taken a few photos, A few good photos. I found it easy to slip into a stream where I just look at things and don't think about it. I'm a minimalist but when I do take a picture, it does shine.

I wouldn't question the story too much, but isn't it possible that the kid mixed in some photos he didn't take? And that's a lot of pictures to get developed. Some of those pictures I'm fairly certain can't have been taken on the same camera.
Still, some really cool pics in there. |
The homeless kid got some talent i think he should consider a job with his talent instead of doing drug
