Murder sim on the Wii (that's how the press would say it)

I'm surprised that there hasn't been much on this yet seeing how big of a step it will be for Nintendo. They wanted Mature content, well you don't get much more mature then this (or at least as far as games go). Original sources follow:

I myself am really looking forward to Manhunt 2 on the Wii, if they can nail the controls, it'll definatly be the single player equivelant of Gears for the Wii as far as big name mature games go.

This will definatly redefine Nintendo's "Disney of gaming" image they have with the public after this game, and if other mature games follow, something Nintendo won't be able to reverse. I just hope that rockstar puts as much or more effort into this Wii version that they will with the PS2 version, because if games like Red Steel have taught us anything, the experiance IS within the control.

What does everyone else think of this. Is this good or bad for Nintendo's marketing? Should there even be a sequel? Will this stir things up in the media and the courts like the first one did? (which even had less interactivity and worse graphics then the 2nd one will on the Wii)

Being multi platform doesn't hurt Nintendo directly. They're just targetting the popular systems. Fanboys won't really change their minds unless a who console cycle of regularly released Mature games are out, but personally, I don't care, as it's all about the gameplay.

No one cares about it because Manhunt was a shocking game. Rumours that it was banned in Australia due to it's violence is wrong, in actual fact the Arts Council banned it for it because of how pissweak the gameplay and muddy the graphics were.

Please don't insult Nintendo like that. Nintendo doesn't simply cash in on everything they do, and nor do they sympathize with nazis. :(

If Nintendo were like them they'd be far more despicable than the guys who made Manhunt.

There's already a Manhunt 2 thread here. =) You can discuss the whole Nintendo thingy there. But I doubt this is going to change the kiddy outlook Nintendo has. Doesn't matter how many violent games third parties chuck at it, the instant a new Mario or Pokemon game arrives it's all over! I heard those games have bright colours and all sorts of totally gay shit!
