Supernatural Experiences
I was just wondering how many people have had a supernatural experience Im not sure if thats a bit vauge but I will just say what happened to me last year which i thought was quite creepy.
I was in the country with my parents and we had booked this tiny house to stay in (so its not like i was in a sprawling castle with stone gargoyles or anything) it was just a simple 2 bedroom place. But the second i entered this house I felt such a heaviness it was morning when we got there so it was bright shining and clear skied, and this place was well lit neat and tidy, but all the same i did not feel comfortable there. We spent the rest of the day out and about and got home that night and watched a movie on the t.v and i just rememebr not wanting to sit with my back facing any empty space so I sat in front of my parents who were on the couch. I was trying my hardest to shake these feelings, and as the movie came to an end i was so apprehensive of going to my room which mind you was right next door to my parents room, but the thought of being alone was making me very edgy. So we all said goodnight and my parents went off to their room. And i went into my room and there was a bunk bed and a single bed, i chose the single since it was right next to the bedside table which had a reading light. I got into bed and was trying so hard to quell this unfounded fear, i read my book for a little then I turned my light off. But I was wide awake like i had adrenalin rushing through my body and i was so tense, i felt so crowded like there was a presence only centimetres from my bed and I felt like if I moved it would notice me or something so I lay there dead still heart pounding. After about an hour of closing my eyes but not being able to keep them shut feeling the need to scout the room the wind outside picked up, and it was soft at first but got increasingly louder and I realised I must have forgotten to shut the window, the room was getting a bit colder and I knew I had to shut the window cause the noise was making me even more edgy but again I felt the oppresive presence and I was frozen and over what seemed like about half an hour I slowly slid my hand to the reading light switch and finally illuminated my room again it took so much effort to make myself do this and I felt like I had conquered something. Now I had the light on i felt more calm, then I remembered that I wanted to close the window, but I went to close it and it was completely shut not even open just a crack so there was no way to explain all the noise i had heard. When i got back to bed I managed to get to sleep but was sooo eager to pack and leave the next morning!! I had a similar experience again when we went away to a rented house same deal uneasy feeling as I went into the house, same dread to be alone in my room but this time the house was larger a bit older and on the wall opposite my bed there was a brick missing and i just felt watched and heard rustling coming from the hole buit hey it could have been a rat. Just i have stayed at lots of places and this type of fear has only happened twice. So yeah anybody else got a similar experience? Or maybye a positive one? |
I only had a supernatural experience when I was very young. At that time (at night) I was walking past the room where my dad was sleeping in. Because I sense some presence, I turned my head and looked and saw a lady all in white looking down at my dad. The lady was ethereal, was translucent white and as I stared at her, she turned and looked at me. Then I noticed that there were holes in place of eyes. The holes were not clear cut - is like the whitish of the face slowly fused with the black holes. Her hair was floating about all over just like how your hair would if you are swimming in the water.
Then finally I blinked and I saw her no more. Weird, but I don't sense any harm coming from her. In fact, I feel that she is watching over my dad. |
Leonheart, I get that a lot in my own house. I don't know why.
There were two other times, the first being in an ex-boyfriend's house. He is psychic, and so are a few of his friends. Anyone who is attuned to psychic energy gets uneasy when they enter his house; apparently it's built on a site where there was a massacre centuries ago. At night you can hear furniture and other things moving downstairs. We came to the conclusion he had poltergeists, seen as there is no other explanation for the odd things that you hear and see at his place. The second was by far the worst thing I've ever felt. I was with a couple of friends late at night and we were walking past this old building that's been boarded up for years (I think it was about 30 years since the fire). I don't know whose retarded idea it was to scale the gate and have a look about but nevertheless, we all clambered over and walked towards the house. The moment I walked into that courtyard I could feel some horrible thing just staring, both uncomfortable and frightening. I recall seeing small sillhouettes of children running around the edges of the building. There was a light on in the downstairs window, which was odd considering how the place has been abandoned for years (I mean an actual light, as if electricity were still switched on). Luckily (I guess) by this point I was so close to having a full-blown panic attack from the sheer weight of the staring sensation and those children's sillhouettes that my friends decided the best thing to do would be to look for an exit. As we were running across the overgrown grass towards the nearest wall, I heard this woman's voice in my head saying "I'm leaving the children behind!". It was only a couple of days later after some research into the place that I discovered it used to be a home for disturbed children, and one of them had instigated the fire that has left the place charred. It'll be a long time before I can walk down that road again without shuddering. |
I've only had one experience I can't explain. I don't know if it can be considered supernatural. I once saw a shadow on the wall in the shape of a man with no one to claim as its owner.
From what my mom tells me, my grandmother saw her father's ghost in the kitchen one night when she went to get a glass of milk. |
When New York City was awaiting the arrival of Zhuul, paranormal activity had reached its height, and I got a blowjob from a floating spirit. I was a little high at the time, but I'm almost certain that it actually happened and wasn't make believe.

I've never had one of these "supernaturual" experiences, but if I did ever hear a deceased relative calling my name, or see unidentified shadows on the wall, I would probably shit myself out of fear.

I live in the upper west side. One time I was restoring this painting while I was curator for a display at the Manhattan Museum of Art. The painting was of a 16th century tyrant named Vigo, he possessed me an in elaborate scheme to revive himself using the body of one of my female coworker's baby.

You just got that from Ghostbusters 2, you asshole. Get the fuck out of here. Some of us watch Comedy Central, you know.
|
Where was the hundred foot marshmellow man in your story? You left out some of the best parts.
Like how your girlfriend sleeps above the sheets... four feet above the sheets. |
Uh, that was just a movie, dude. You know, not real? This thread is for real supernatural experiences, if you don't have anything worth posting, maybe you shouldn't be here, alright?
|
There's something really goofy about Brady being in The Quiet Place.
|
I vote that everyone that doesn't believe in supernatural experiences and is only here to troll gets the heck out of the thread. Not hard to fathom.
|
I never said I didn't believe in the supernatural, I just thought this would do much better in the sewers.
On the stranger side of things, true story, my grandfather used to make omelettes in his sleep. |

I was actually mostly speaking to Brady, since he's supposed to, y'know, not troll people. Once I deleted your initial entry you were all good to go. =D
Mostly I'm fairly certain they didn't post this here to have it countered, but I could be wrong. |
I know the point of the thread, but since when is offering an opposite opinion a bad idea? I don't think we should say that just because someone doesn't want to hear an alternative view point, that it shouldn't be offered.

I used to be a nonbeliever. Pretty easy to be one actually when you don't have some shit happen to you. Can't blame some of you, really.
The most memorable time was in 2001. October-December or so. There was a room that made odd sounds when the door was closed and no one was inside it, but I just chalked it up to whatever and ignored it. Endless explanations for what the sound was. Then Halloween 2001 I slept in that room while Lenore took the kids trick or treating. I was really tired for some reason but for what felt like a half hour I could almost feel something touching my shoulder blame in order for me not to sleep. But it was so different and light that I couldn'0t be sure and before I knew it Id drift off again. The Lenore came and I left the room, beleiving the noises I knew the room had a rep for had made me imagine that whole thing. So some time later I get out of the shower and hear the kids talking. Im drying my hair in the middle of the hallway facing one end, the end where the kids room is on one side and this freaky closed room is on the other. eventually I realize that the voice isnt exactly liek one of the kids in particular, and it says something to me. At this point I'm still =o? so I take a step forward and say "what" because I didnt really understand. I hear it again, and its at this point I not only see the kids from the corner of their doorway (both asleep) but realize the questio is actually coming from the closed room. I turned around and pulled a Mel Gibson in Signs straight to the kitchen were Lenore was. Scared shitless like I am now just for retelling that. |

When my grandma died when I was in the eighth grade, I used to remember smelling this flower scent anywhere I went that reminded me of her for some days after. Weird...
My uncle in SF is full of plenty of ghost stories, most of which he claims to have experienced himself. Some of them seem a bit-farfetched (though I guess you could say that about all of them), but he really believes them. I can't really deny it myself. |
I have always believed in the supernatural. I have experienced supernatural events since I was a child. From unexplainable noises to things that move by themselves, to even full on apparitions, posesions, "witch riding you", what have you. There is one example actualy. I heard the front door open and then I heard a female voice clearing her throat. The sound of the females voice came from the bottom of the stairs. I went down stairs to greet who I thought was my mom coming home early. The door was wide open and no one was around. I closed the door and searched the entire house, no one was in the house.
When I was about 10 I experienced one that I will never forget. It was the summer, the family and I were visiting my grandparents for a few days. When it came time to sleep everyone slept in the bedrooms down the hall but I decided to hang out in the living room. I had a bunch of covers and pillows on the ground to sleep on. I got tired and turned the tv off and just when I did so I heard a noise as if something was flying around me. It sounded like wind but there was no wind. I then began to hear footsteps in the kitchen about12 feet from where I was but no one was there. It was scary cause I was staring into the kitchen and no one was there but I could here footsteps like someone was walking in boots. I then heard the door knobs began to rattle violently and so I picked everything up that I could in one fair sweep and ran down the hall into one of the rooms, found a spot to lie down and just layed there with my eyes wide open. My mom saw me run in and laughed, somehow that made me feel better. I remember in that same house sometimes during the day if you closed the front door after exiting it, about 5 seconds later you would hear a loud bang on that door and noone caused it. One more before I end up typing a life story here. I was spending the night at a friends house. This was about 2 years ago maybe and in a new suburb where nothing strange happened and if it did it was rare. It was me my friend Ben and his two friends kenny and kris we all played video games, pigged out, etc. Anyway the phone rang so Ben went to go answer it. Kenny and kris tried hiding in the closet so when Ben comes they could jump out and scare him. They kept laughing so they gave up. Kenny went to the bathroom and kris went across the room to sit at the computer desk. So no one was left inside the closet. I looked into the closet and noticed it was pretty big and full of junk then I saw a glow. I first blew it off as light shining in from the hallway into some hanging clothes. As soon as that thought crossed my mind I saw a glowing silhouette of a short man or a child peeking out of the closet and moving back into it slowly as it disappeared. They messed with me about it that night but I swear I saw it clearly. |
There was one time that I was staying at a mates house and it was time to go to sleep. I was in the spare room trying to get to sleep, when all of a sudden I felt a presence in the room. I thought nothing of it and continued to try and get comfy.
I rolled over and saw that a black poodle dog was stood on the edge of the bed, at this time I wasn't sure what to do. I stared at it for a while until I got freaked out. I never thought that it would harm me, I just thought that it was just damn strange for this ghost dog to be staring at me. I decided that I should shut my eyes and try to make it disappear. So I closed my eyes and didn't open them again until the morning. By the time the morning has appeared, the dog had vanished. I was later told that the dog was one of the old poodles that had died years earlier in the house. |
