Hey guys, I want install some updates (IE7 and WMP11 in particular) to my windows XP SP2, but its not genuine. its a corporate edition that i dl'd of torrentspy.

Does anyone know where i can get a crack or something that allows me to do this?

I'm sure you will be able to find standalone installers for those programs on torrentspy too.

Don't use the cracks, Bredow. There's a solution that allows you to pass validation every time, and after applying it for a couple of months, still works like a charm.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Download and extract all files from the ZIP archive.
2. Apply the HOSTS file fix by running wga-fix.exe and answering "Yes" to the prompt.
3. Generate a new Windows serial with MSKey.exe. Set product family to Windows Pro. XP VLK (Corporate).
4. Run keyfinder.exe, click Options -> Change Windows key, and type in the new key you generated.
5. Download MGADIAG.EXE from Microsoft's website, and run it. If everything went well, your validation status under the "Windows" tab should be Genuine. If t doesn't, repeat step 3 and 4 until you get the desired result.
6. You can now use Microsoft Download Center, Windows Update, and pass all Windows Genuine Advantage validation prompts from here on end without a hitch. (Thus, you can get the Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media Player 11 straight from Microsoft).

Just download the SP2 disk of XP Pro Student. Comes without that gay SP0/1 security flaw that pwns pcs on the net, and doesn't have problems updating.

I can't seem to run the keyfinder.exe program for some odd reason, is there a place where I may find one that works? Or could someone try and pinpoint the problem? o-o

Thanks for the excellent tool Zergrinch. However, MGADIAG.exe reports that my Office 2003 is not authentic; will this have any adverse affects? (Everything seems to run okay.)
