Spiderman 2Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters

Knock knock, baby. The official trailer for the movie's here, and it looks like it's actually coming out in theaters.

Hopefully this will make up for the few new episodes we got late last year. I lol'd pretty good at the trailer.

Do what now.

Vestin Jan 31, 2007 02:08 AM

I don't know about this one.

I mean, I'm very skeptical of TV to movie adaptations ESPECIALLY when in the case of a cartoon that is usually only good in small doses.

A good way to tell if a movie adaption from a TV show will be good is to watch one of the season solid through and if an hour and a half into it, you still find the series funny, then the movie MIGHT be okay.

I'll try to remain optimistic about this whole thing though, I mean, the trailer was pretty funny.

Shiny McShine Jan 31, 2007 04:47 PM

Well I am a huge fan of Aqua Teen, but of course I have to be a little skeptical of the movie. I saw the trailer and it looked OK, and I actually just read the premise of it like 5 minutes ago. Seems like just another episode premise to me, we'll see if they can stretch the funny for an hour.

Well the movie is certainly going to get alot of attention now that the Boston police department mistook an ad for the show as a bomb threat. Talk about embarassment for both Boston and the US news media in general.

Dopefish Feb 1, 2007 02:26 AM

I guess if I see this I'm required to see The Simpsons Movie, right?

Gixah Feb 1, 2007 07:37 AM

I guess I know what I'm doing for my birthday!

And now they're trying to turn it on the show's creators by suing them for being terrorists. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...5/emot-911.gif

Brilliant. It's even better now that it turns out these were in place for three weeks! What kind of terrorist puts a bomb in place weeks before it's set to explode. In plain sight. :sigh:

Shiny McShine Feb 4, 2007 04:25 AM

The kind of terrorist that obviously has no regard for the American people and wants to kill us all.

Seriously, 3 weeks? If these WERE bombs, considering their locations and numerous cities (assuming they would have pretty sizeable explosions), most of mainstream America would be fucking obliterated.

Cirno Feb 18, 2007 06:00 PM

There's a new clip from the movie available on IGN.

This is a robbery.

I also added one of the movie posters in the original link. It's a bit of a doozy, clocking in at over one megabyte, but I hotlinked it to my own imageshack folder.

Arkhangelsk Feb 18, 2007 10:47 PM

The poster is *amazing*.
Seriously, I don't care if the movie is crap (I probably won't see it in theatres anyways), that poster is awesome. Especially Carl.

Yeah that poster is pretty damn awesome. Too bad the movie won't. I won't see this unless I'm forced or tricked into seeing it. I despise the show, minus a few random quibs that get a chuckle out of me. Otherwise, no, terrible show.

TheKnightOfNee Feb 19, 2007 02:54 PM

Wow, that poster is amazing. If we get one with that picture at the movie theater I work at, I am so finding a way to take it for myself once the movie leaves.

As for the movie itself, I hope it won't be bad, but there's a chance. I'll still see it anyways, though.

Arkhangelsk Feb 23, 2007 12:51 AM

My sole reason for watching ATHF is Carl. Seriously, the best things come out of his mouth...maybe it's the Jersey accent or something. And Frylock. I kind of despise Meatwad and Shake.

Dopefish Mar 28, 2007 11:11 PM

adult swim is advertising a free showing of the ATHF movie Sunday night.

April Fools' Day.

I might tune in briefly to see if that's bullshit or not. I really bet it is.

Skexis Mar 28, 2007 11:13 PM

I'd laugh my ass off if they showed a Tom Goes to the Mayor marathon or something instead.

That show is such a black sheep among adult swim fans, I wouldn't be surprised.

K_ Takahashi Mar 28, 2007 11:13 PM

its probably a few scenes which in that case Ill look away.

ya, prolly BS, talk about lost profits but thinking logically the movie diddnt cost that much to make anyways (and its rated R, can we say edits?).

I'm reminded of the whole Cartman's Dad episode of South Park. In which April Fool's Day was the day it was supposed to be revealed, but instead they pulled that Terrence and Phillip's Not Without My Anus episode. :tpg:

K_ Takahashi Apr 13, 2007 01:53 PM

I saw this today walking into exactily what I expected (a dirtier version of a long-ass episode), it kept me entertained with a plot best suited for an ADD audience.

Skexis Apr 15, 2007 11:59 PM

I wanted to see it, but at the same time, I knew an hour and a half of Aqua Teen was way too much.

It does have its moments, but a lot of the laughs I heard from my friends seemed forced. In my opinion they also did way too much with the self-reflexive "Oh hey, you can't complain cause we have your money now" bit. It was like they were daring people to dislike it at a few points.

I mean, I don't mind self-reflexive stuff, but at the same time I don't go to the movies to have my intelligence insulted.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Apr 16, 2007 07:20 AM

Words to the wise: This movie is best viewed inebriated.

hodgepodge011 Apr 17, 2007 02:00 AM

i hear that movie is only good if your baked
