Squadalah! We are off!
Back in the days of the Super Nintendo, Nintendo heard that Sega was coming out with a CD attachment and wanted to make one of their own. They ended up going with allowing Phillips to use Nintendo characters for it's game system, the Phillips CD-i, which ended up bombing horribly. Public interest in the system dropped immensely after 3 years and the line was discontinued completely after 7.
Why, you might ask? Because a lot of the games were absolutely abysmal. For example, Phillips on it's own created two games with "Legend of Zelda" characters. I say Zelda characters rather than games because they bear no resemblence to the Zelda games actually created and produced by Nintendo. For example, not only was the gameplay horrible in these games, but they also had horrendous cutscenes leading to some of the BEST ANIMATED VIDEOS EVER. Honestly, how could any company anywhere release animation like this? |
Some things are better left buried, where they belong.
Now someone will learn something new. I had forgotten about it. I now hate you. |

God. What... Rghh. My... Head hurts. I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT THIS BULLSHIT >__< I never spent money on it (thank god) but I know someone who did. And he showed me this very game as a reason NOT to buy it. God al-fuckin'-mighty is this a blast from the past. Oh. And this Zelda is based off of the old animated series. Which was... Odd. |
