Question regarding DS

Do the all GB, GBC and GBA games work on DS? Is there a compatibility list somewhere? Thanks in (GB) advance :orange:

It plays GBA games but not GB or GBC. You could have easily found this out with a simple google or wikipedia search.

Sorry to burst your bubble, if you want full compatability, SPs are cheap nowadays.

If you don't mind playing the games at home you could also get your hands on a Game Boy Player for the GameCube. :)

Heh, I could use a Google or a Wiki but I thought you know some "special" way to play GB and GBC games on DS. Anyway that's a pitty they don't work.

Gamecube method has one serious drawback - it requires me to have a Gamecube :)

Anyway I ask such questions because I was cut out of the matrix for a six moths so I know nothing. I remember some early screens of Quake for GBA and Duke Nukem 64 for DS. I searched the Gamespot and nothing. Why weren't these games released? Or were they?

There actually is a "special" method, using a flashcart like M3 or Supercard to run a homebrew GB/GBC emulator.

Flashcarts on the DS enable emulation for many classic consoles such as NES, SNES, and the portables you mentioned initially.

The Nintendo DS Doesn't Play Game boy or Game boy Color That is why I kept my Game Boy SP for (that and multi player games)
