Default homepage
 

On Firefox, I have my default web page as www.google.com

However, I changed my Date and Time (in Control Panel) to Hungary because that's where I'm at. When I open up Firefox, it takes me to the Hungarian Google page, www.google.hu

I checked my Firefox settings and my homepage is listed as www.google.com

Even when I type www.google.com, it changes it back to www.google.hu

What gives?

Because .com goes straight to your local site, that's why.

You can set what version of Google to browse, in Google's preference pages. Alternatively, you could consider using the I Google home page at http://www.google.com/ig
