What are you listening to NOW

I'm a n00b here so if a thread like this has been made or if it's the wrong section, then i apologise. In this thread you post what you are listening to, may it be music, radio show etc..

As I type this I'm listening to Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Great song, great riff.

The problem with threads like this is that there isn't much thought involved - most people just sorta say what they're listening to, and that's it. Minimal discussion. Even if you can get some measure of discussion going, there are a fair few people that will interrupt that conversation so they can post the song they're listening to, or say "my speakerss broken lol" or something, and no one is edified. We'll give this one a shot for as long as it can stay beneficial to people involved, and I'm moving it to the Media forum.

I'm currently listening to housethegrate and Ashane's Madara, Movement 1 from the May 2005 DoD competition. Good stuff, and the brothers worked very well together, even that long ago (heh). Shows good instrumental versatility, and the guitar work is, of course, great.

I've been commissioned by a colleague to write a trombone solo with brass choir accompaniment. He wants it to be roughly three minutes long and as epic and fanfare-ish as possible. I'm almost done with it. That's what I'm listening to NOW.

Strike one.

John Williams - Hedwig's Theme (from the first Harry Potter)

Easily one of my favorite themes from recent John Williams work. He actually had something original for the first time in a long time, and it came in the form of a catchy, sweeping orchestral piece. Made good use of instrumentation and generally set a really good feel for the start of what has become a hugely-grossing series of movies.

Nothing in my Way - Keane

One of my favorite songs.

Something by 'The National'. It's on the radio and it's not that great, lol. The internets have failed me!

Yeah, this isn't working.
