New Spoiler tag behaviour
I believe that months ago when the new spoiler tags were introduced, some members asked for it to show the actual length of the spoiler.
Well, turns out that I'm an idiot and I could've just used the visibility:hidden CSS attribute instead of display:none, so here is the new and improved spoiler tag: Spoiler:
Since everyone loves choices, I've kept the display:none behaviour for the [spoil] tag. |

Brilliant, Blah. (:

I'd rather have spoil tag show the length instead of spoiler tag but that's just me I guess. :(
This is helpful. Nice work, Blah.

Now devo's image journal entry takes a year to scroll through since the spoiler tags are stretched. =p I hope people remember to use spoil instead of spoiler tags in their journal entries when they post big pictures. It makes it easier to browse through the recent buddy journal entries link.
Guess I'll second acer, since all previously used spoiler tags are now all stretched :(
I think we should perhaps make an announcement telling of the new spoiler tag behavior and ask that everyone change their spoiler tags to spoil tags if they wish their old spoiler tags to have their old behavior.
That or do a sweep of the forums (including chocojournal and comment pages) and automatically change all spoiler tags to spoil tags before the moment the spoiler tag's behavior were changed. I imagine there will be less people wanting to edit their old posts to use new spoiler tag behavior than those editing their old posts to use old spoiler tag behavior. One of those two or an even better solution I will argue for. |

This idea isn't so great. People have been using [spoiler] over [spoil] for months on end. Now the Twilight Princess thread looks like a mess, as does some other threads I've glanced at today.
Seriously uh, I don't know why we need spoiler tags which are the length of the spoiler. If it's just text, it should be fine. If it contains pictures, possibly large pictures, maybe you should add a little picture icon next to (or into) the "Show"/"Hide" box. |

SOLUTION 1: Acer goes and fixes up every post himself. SOLUTION 2: I revert the changes to the [spoiler] tag. SOLUTION 3: I switch [spoiler] and [spoil] functionality. I'm going with solution 3, so if there are any more complaints after this, Acer had better get ready for solution 1. |
And right after I fix my spoiler tags too. :3
Acer can fix it for you!
Great; solution three is exactly what I thought you should've done in the first place. Changing the default behaviour of established controls is what i'd expect of Microsoft, not GFF :P.
I guess this means I won't have to listen to all your suggestions anymore?
You've never listened to them in the past, why change now? Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore; it's all fixed.
No, not yours >_>
You'll also never listen to my mix CD :(
