HDTVtoMPEG2 and .ts files...

Hi!

I need some advice from people who know about HD and .ts (transport stream) files. I just got 3 3Gb files of a movie that are HD and I need them converted into MPEG2, basically for video editing. I try to open any of the 3 files in HDTVtoMPEG2 and I get an error saying Discarding 0 byte file. Anyone know what the problem is as it does this on all 3 files, but I can play them in VCL or PowerDVD just fine...

Hmm... I'm not sure of the error but I use DGMPGDec to demux the video and audio from .ts file (also works on .vob and any other MPEG files too). Then you can convert and/or edit them as this always works for me. VideoHelp.com is a great place for to look for answer for all your video conversion and editing need.
