Magnetized Screen
Yes yes, im sure you all have heard this one before...
I have an old laptop that I dug out of my garage that has been magnetized, but I dont remember how or when...Does anyone have any advice as to a solution? http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...N0304WinCE.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...N0307WinCE.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...N0300WinCE.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...N0302WinCE.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...N0311WinCE.jpg |
That can't be fixed. The LCD cells have physically been damaged and nothing short of replacing the screen with resolve the problem.

LCD's don't get magnetized, because they don't have anything to magnetize in the first place like CRTs.
Unfortunately, you're going to have to replace the screen. It looks like it got hit, or something, and damaged a bunch of cells. Given the age of the laptop (8MB of RAM?), you're probably best off replacing it instead of trying to repair it. Besides, judging from the error message on screen, the hard drive on it is broken anyways, so no big loss. ^^ |
heh...thanks lol...i was going to use it to play wheel of fortune lmao

Is there a vga out? It may not be portable but at least you wouldn’t have to look at it.
