Your favorite style of pizza?
What is your favorite style? I personally like regular the best, though I love all pizza of course. I hate white pizza though. I don't know if it is because I'm 100% italian but I could drink tomato sauce. I need it on my pizza.
White pizza? Is that pizza with no sauce at all? That doesn't seem too appetizing to me, either. :(
Anyway, I like regular the best as well, but deep dish is good too. I could do without thin crust. |
Is there a type of pizza I don't like? I even enjoy those Japanese gourmet pizzas with everything on it. Tomato sauce or not I'll still like it as long as it tastes good.
Though, I do have a preferred style. And that would be the true deep dish pizza with chunky tomato sauce, italian sausage, black olives, pepperoni, and layers of mozzarella cheese *drools.* |
I'm a thin crust lover. The Crust is by far my least favourite part of the pizza. For me, it's all about the toppings. Basically, the less crust, the better.
My favourite style of pizza would have to be deep-pan, but the crust and the base both have to be soft for my to fully enjoy the taste of the pizza.
I do quite like thin base as well though. |
I guess regular. I like crust too, and having thin crust kind of destroys the purpose of a good crust!

Neways, I like regular, deep dish is good too but they rarely make the crust as good as i would like. I do enjoy the crispiness of thin crust though. |
It's hard for me to say, because different places do the different styles so dang well. There aren't many places that do all of the styles well, so it depends on where I'm at, too. Pizza Hut's deep dish is fantastic, Pier 49's regular (sourdough) is amazing, hole-in-the-wall pizza places in NYC and some local places I've been to in various places (but never a chain) have great thin crust.

I like normal pizza... it's pretty much all I have.
What about stuffed crust? Mmmmm mozeralla in pizza crust. Deep dish is good too.
*adds stuffed crust*
Ah geez, now I'm craving some good pizza! This nice New Years dinner is going to be put out in front of me, and I'm gonna be like "Can we order some pizza...?" ;_;
I voted regular, but anything is good. I've never actually tried stuffed crust... I really want to though. o_o |
Stuffed crust is the single most greatest invention in the pizza world. You can never have enough cheese, and it keeps the crust moister and more flavourful, instead of dry. You can actually look foreward to eating the crust.
Regular works just fine for me. I like pizza with a good crust as well, but I haven't had stuffed-crust for a long time now. I also don't have a specific pizza brand I enjoy since I've had a lot of good styles already. I only prefer a pizza that's slightly crispy and without any kind of fruit on it.
Stuff crust is different than the rest though, because the others are about the way the dough is prepared and the stuffed crust is just adding cheese to it. But stuffed crust can be included in any type of pizza. Most people only do it with regular though.
I said regular...I enjoy both thin and Sicilian as well, but push comes to shove, regular always wins.
I never got into deep dish/stuffed crust...Too greasy most of the time. My main thing is more dependent on what brand (Freschetta Sicilian thincrust is godly, but I have a thing for regulars from Little Caesers and Papa Johns). Anything but Pizza Hut normally works with me. |
Thin crust is my favorite. To me, and pizza is only as good as its crust, and I think it's a lot harder to make the crust taste good on anything but thin crust. That said, I will eat almost any kind of pizza, and I will almost always enjoy it. Except for Pizza Hut. I'm not sure how, but they have managed to ruin pizza. Even I can make a better pizza than I can order from them.

I like super-thin, light and crispy crust. Currently the best is to be found at Round Table, which from what I gather is not found outside of California :(.
Yum, now this makes me hungry :P I remember when I worked on Pizza Hut... I dunno how much pizza could I eat. My parents though I'd get bored of so much pizza. Nevertheless, I usually changed my menu: today pizza, tomorrow fried chicken or maybe garlic bread :D
1 point for the sicilian! |
Round Table's pretty good (and I've never seen one outside of Cali, either), but Mountain Mike's is better if we're going Cali chains. Perhaps that's just the all-you-can-eat factor, though. And I still prefer the sourdough regular crust of Pier 49.
Deep dish for special occasions, but thin crust for every day-- either Supreme or Hawaiin is my favorite! When I go to Chicago I love Giordano's pizza . . .
I like the regular pizzas as well. Deep dish is awesome too. As for toppings, if any, I just want meat. Any meat: ham or sausage usually. Pepperoni's probably my least favorite. And I don't like veggies. Picky eater I am. =p
We just had thin New York-style crust pizza from a local place today. Divine. Though a lot of the secret was in the sauce, the crust was fantastic, and much missed. They don't have places that make the pizza like that back at school ):
Working at a Pizza Hut store, I have had my fair share of Pizza and I used to be a deep pan crust only type of guy, but recently I have taking a liking to thin crusts.
Thin crust, because I like the crunchy-ness when I bite down.
