As there's a GoW mini-rip floating around, there has to be away to rip the music.

If you are lucky and the game uses something like stereo CRI ADX files, then you can rip them out. XMA is not rippable to my knowledge, and neither is interleaved 6 channel ADX (called AIX).

Someone probably just did a manual recording.

yes there is, by ripping each XMA file into a modified Live disc, and bitstream that file to your PC, voila ...
