Street Fighter II Confirmed On VC
Using the ESRB website for reference, Destructoid.com has confirmed that Street Fighter II: The World Warrior will be an upcoming title on the Wii's Virtual Console.
Check it out HERE |
Kinda pointless since it won't have the online play like the live arcade one.

Update!
Just found this...
http://img2.myimg.de/sf27ac.jpg Apparently, it's just been released on Japan's Virtual Console. |
i would buy it just cause im a SF junkie
if it was the version that had cammy and dee jay it would be worth the points spent on it |
And a whole thread just for the announcement of one VC game exists because why?
|
Because Street Fighter 2 is one of the most influential games in history and arguably paved the way for the Super Nintendo's dominance of the 16 bit generation.
|
EXTREMELY arguably.
|
This is his second thread that could well be (and is) covered by already existing topics.
Like the other, this will only lead to so much discussion. On-topic: I hope it will make it to Europe too. |
This is laughable at best really, why the fuck not release Super Street Fighter II New Challengers instead? There's really no point in paying $8 for this when you can run out and get Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for PS2/XBOX for like $10 more.
I will say this one time only. One time. Make it count Nintendo. Make it count. |
Who cares, they threw in Military Madness today. This makes up for the shit they've been putting up for the past month.
|
Can someone start an official Virtual Console Mondays thread? It'd be great to have a running list of what came up in what regions etc. I almost want to make it myself, but I don't even have my own Wii, and God knows I'd lose interest too fast.
|
I'll make one right now!
|
Yeah, I can't see why this is noteworthy in the least. First of all if this is like the other VC releases it'll be the Super Nintendo, and not the arcade version. Secondly it should have at least have been Super Street Fighter 2, and anyone who gives a damn should have this game in it's countless other (better) versions.
In spite of all of that I can't really blame Nintendo for releasing this as it basicaly costs them nil to do so, but what a crappy release. |
