Wireless stereo headset... but with no lag?
I've long been thinking of getting a headset for games and whatnot.
Also I'm getting pretty tired of constantly rolling over the cord of my earphones, and getting stuck in this or that around my chair. Then the other day I came across the perfect all-in-one solution, I thought, as I was browsing this magazine of doodads and must-have gadgets: The Plantronics Pulsar 590A - headset, wireless, and good quality stereo sound. http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/8...1e820beow5.jpg I looked up some reviews, but damn, there's the con. Lag for up to 2-5 seconds. Gaming or watching movies would render it useless. I've been googling and browsing here and there, but I must suck at it, because I can't seem to find any wireless stereo headsets with no lag. Does it exist, or will I just have to get a normal pair of wireless headphones along with a desktop mic? |
Wireless is garbage, just learn to deal with the cords. My sennheisers have a really huge cord and it gets annoying at times but I hardly ever get it caught on stuff or roll my chair over it... because I put in the effort to not do so.

:wrong:
Wireless garbage? Er, depends. Headset with mic? Hell yes. But if he is just getting headphone wireless are amazing. Yes, I own 4. (2 wirless 2 cord) and I find wireless being as good as cord. |
Thanks for the input, it is as I expected then.
I know you'll lose something over wireless, but I'm not an extreme audiophile and my untrained ear wouldn't ever hear the difference. I like quality of cause, but I think wireless might suit me fine for gaming and watching internet stuff. Now I know to look for something without mic, that I can be a 100% sure won't be out of sync... EDIT: Wireless USB (WUSB) is on the way! Quote:
It should be able to provide bandwidth enough for both mic and quality sound. |
