[SOLVED] #gfchat Link
 

So, no clue what happened to it, but I can't seem to find where the link to use the godawful java chat client went on the forums. I think it used to be under Quick Links, but it doesn't seem to be there any more.

Did we kill it because the java client died for good?

Yeah, but we've got other people which ought to be able to do something like that.

Actually, how DO people find #gfchat nowadays?

RR, there's a java chat client at network.xelium.net if you're actually looking for one, and not just pointing out the fact that the forum one is dead.

You can also go to http://www.jpilot.com and use the full example client. It'll let you connect to any server and any chatroom you want.

I hate being the bearer of bad news, but when I tried to use it just now, becuase my home computer is still connected as Mo0, it wouldn't let me connect. It tells me that Mo0 is taken and then that the Guest nick is a reserved nick, then disconnects me.

I don't see this being likely to affect too many people, but I just want an excuse to go SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!!!

It used to be nice enough that it would make you Mo0(1) if that happened. :(

i still seemed to be banned/unable to access gfchat - double clicking on the channel itself does nothing. somebody wanna tell me why?

The toolbar juts out from the rest of the table now that that link has been placed in it. Well, at least for me anyway.

800x600 resolution? Cause it's fine on 1024x768.

Yeah, that fixed it. For most it probably isn't a problem, then.
