You know, I've never played Wario Ware before, but this looks kind of fun if not really simple. And a LOT of classic Nintendo cameos (Link, Metroid, Mario, even Balloon Kid) I know a lot of people are fans of the series in general, so what do you think?

Amayirot Akago Nov 30, 2006 03:51 PM

I love the series for its wackiness and I'm definitely getting this one too.

DjMeas Nov 30, 2006 03:59 PM

OH MAN! STAR FOX?!?! AS THE BOSS STAGE!!

This game is looking AMAZING! I love Wario ^_______^

Krelian Nov 30, 2006 04:43 PM

Holy shit I see Color TV Game <3

I wasn't sure previously, but now this is a total must buy for me.

Identity Crisis Nov 30, 2006 05:22 PM

I can't wait for this game to come out! I'm already enjoying the idea of watching my friends act like complete goobers in front of the TV screen. It's good to know that the game still has a wacky, cartoonish ambience, even for the 3-D microgames.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the first video!

Thanks for the videos, Dubble!

Damn that looks exciting. Too bad I have no plans to get a Wii...

The Wii was just made for an awesome Warioware game like this. It'll be great, I think.

Summonmaster Nov 30, 2006 08:32 PM

This is literally 1 out of 2 only reasons I would get a Wii for, the other being Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I really hope that they increase the amount of microgames even further, because despite each successive game adding more games, they become easy after a while. Eg. after I play waaay too much.

Toma Nov 30, 2006 10:19 PM

Looks nice, but I never really got into that series. Now if they were to make a sequel to Rhythm Tengoku, that I would go for.

majario Nov 30, 2006 10:33 PM

I already have Smooth Moves preordered. I really enjoyed Touched! so playing on the Wii will make this game even better. I can't wait to see myself doing all kinds of goofy movements as I complete each microgame. ^.^

DjMeas Dec 1, 2006 01:41 AM

LOL I just played Twisted! and Touched! again today too because of the
darn videos! I REALLY can't wait for this game. Come on January!

Indeed the games look fun. The only quarrel I have with the whole game thus far were the breaks where it defines some word in Japanese. Hopefully for the English version they'll cut that out, cause it seems to slow the game down far too much for; considering it's supposed to be fast paced. Regardless of that little short coming, I'm pretty positive I'll be picking it up when it comes out state side. And Ashley may have some competition against Penny as far as cuteness goes now!

They're explaining how to hold the controller, I think. For each task you have to hold the controller in a certain way, and I guess the first time one appears, you get an explanation.

Anyway, it looks great! Very exciting stuff, I can't wait.

Holy shit a metroid prime microgame. That rocks.

Krelian Jan 13, 2007 03:58 AM

Bump for science.

I bought this yesterday and jesus fuck it's insane. I haven't laughed so much at a game in a long time - Every time it introduces a new pose for the remote, it gives a diagram and this brief explanation cutscene in which a guy reads out a description in a really bored, droll-sounding voice.

And there's a 3D version of Balloon Trip. You flap your arms to stay aloft.

God I'll never finish Zelda at this rate :(

YouTube Video

Found another video. It looks interesting, but I'd want to try it first at say, a kiosk or something before making a purchase.

Amayirot Akago Jan 13, 2007 08:42 AM

Bought it today. It's insane, it's hilarious, it's tricky, it's good clean fun.

Summonmaster Jan 13, 2007 02:16 PM

I am seriously considering getting a Wii now, for all this insanity. I also thought the explanation sequences slowed it down, but if it's only for the first time you assume the holding position, then it's bearable. It'll be fun to switch positions on the go between each game so rapidly as well. That microgame in the video where the woman fell down screaming was sort of morbid :o!

The review on gamefaqs confused me, in which it said something about getting only half the microgames when you first beat it, but then you couldn't get the rest until you did something? I'll have to read up more on Gamespot.

Spyder 232 Jan 14, 2007 12:12 PM

I got my copy today, Its good but i'm not really liking it personally.

DjMeas Jan 17, 2007 01:21 AM

The game is great! Unfortunately, it's very short as well >,<''

Still, very fun though!

Cobalt Katze Jan 17, 2007 01:54 AM

All I played of Wario Ware for Gamecube was multiplayer with my friends over and over :D

So as long as it has solid 4player modes... we'll definately be set. Once the stores start stocking bloody Wiis again.

UltimaIchijouji Jan 17, 2007 02:05 AM

Considering purchasing this and maybe TP for my first Wii games but I dunno. I'm still iffy on both. This looks like a great buy for parties but I just don't know which games I want haha.

Muzza Jan 17, 2007 04:14 AM

This game looks very fun. I'm definitely getting it on the 25th, which is when it comes out over here...The art style is pretty, err, diverse, but that just fits with the unique premise of the game and it's "plot", so it seems. I'd like to play Twisted one of these days, surely it's as great as the first and Twisted. (I can skip the GCN one though, doesn't look too innovative)

strike911 Jan 17, 2007 03:36 PM

I played the GBA version for HOURSS!!!! I love WarioWare and this game looks so incredibly awesome that I have to buy SOONNN!

Man, I love WarioWare.

Miles Jan 17, 2007 05:31 PM

I picked up the game from Best Buy while I was buying a switch for work. I haven't had a chance to play it yet since I work until 5 but I have browsed through the manual. I think the Canadian version was shipped to my Best Buy store because my manual is in English, French and Spanish. Not unless this is something new Nintendo Of America is doing.

All the wii-mote positions look funny. I can't wait to try the elephant. =D

majario Jan 17, 2007 07:37 PM

So far I'm enjoying this game very much. You can't help but start laughing when you do the different poses during gameplay especially the elephant. Another thing I like about this game is the style of drawing they used which looks great and is unique to WarioWare. Everything is colorful which is what I was expecting from this game. Nintendo is great!

Edit - You must play the micro game Wario Dance Company! It's DDRish except you're using the wiimote instead of a dance pad. It has become my favorite micro game. It's totally addicting.!If you've gotten far enough then come join me in the dancing mayham! I hope Nintendo comes out with a game that does what this micro game has you do.
