Gamingforce Clue

I said the thread would start on Wednesday, so here it is.

For anyone that needs to be refreshed on the rules, here's the link:
http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/co...orce-clue.html

One minor change, though. Accusations take up a turn. A player then loses two turns after that. I have done this to avoid abuse of the system.

Quote:

Lord Bobo, growing weary of his wealth, wished to retire. But before he could, he realized that he needed an heir, someone to manage his estate. So, he gathered six acquaintances to his Gamingforce Mansion.

Admiral Amara, the oldest of the group, had been living in a quiet town for several years. He had lived a hard life as a naval commander and wanted the rest of his life to run smooth. Like Bobo, he had wealth, just not to the same extent. Bobo chose him for commanding presence and wealth-management skills.

knkwzrd, a man of yellow complexion, had a mysterious background. Not even Bobo knew the man's origin or even his real name. knkwzrd claimed he was going by a codename designation given to him by his government, though he never said what government that was. Bobo chose him simply for curiosity. As his heir, he could learn his secrets.

Krelian, a scientist, had frequently worked with Bobo in the past. Lord Bobo had been his financial backer on many experiments. Every experiment had been a success and under-budget.Bobo chose him for his eagerness, logic, and inability to waste money.

Leknaat, who had recently acquired her father's large business and wealth, was chosen simply for business reasons. If she became Bobo's heir, he could potentially influence the decisions of the company. Also, their wealth combined could make the company, great in multiple ways, flourish even more and stifle the competition.

Stoob, a priest, had lived the simple life. He was a kind, gentle sort with strong morals. Driven by faith, he could accomplish more than most. Such a man would not allow Bobo's wealth to disappear beneath him nor would he allow its power to corrupt him. This is why he was chosen.

Yeldarb, most noted for being a jazz musician, was truly a man of many talents. Even moreso than knkwzrd, this made him the most dangerous selection. He knew more about how Bobo's estate should be run than Bobo himself. He was chosen for his smarts, creativity, and inspiring writings and music.

They arrived one after the other in a short span of time. When all had arrive, Lord Bobo had them brought to dinner. There, he explained why they had been chosen. More importantly, he explained what they would have to do to prove themselves. Each of them would have to spend a week in the mansion. They would intermingle and tell Bobo what they learned of each other. They would be given hypothetical scenarios. They would each be given one assignment ove the course of the week with details to be given later.

After dinner was dismissed, the guests chattered amongst themselves and eventually found their rooms and turned in. In the morning, shock came. Somehow, somewhere, Lord Bobo had been killed. No one could remember even finding their rooms, much less if they actually heard or saw anything during the night. The head butler pointed out, though, that Bobo had made a provision if such a thing should occur. In a secret will, he had disclosed that if one of the prospective heirs killed him, the one to figure out the culprit would become his successor.

Each of them quickly surveyed the dead body, which had been dragged into the lobby, and various areas of the house. In this way, each of them learned of three people, places, or weapons that could not have been used to commit the crime.

With their evidence in hand and unable to find more quickly, each has now determined the best way to handle to case is slowly so as not to miss any new detail.

I have another pressing commitment today, but I will attempt to start the game this evening. If all else fails, the game will start tomorrow. I apologize for this small hindrance.

The order of the people both on the list above and on the map is the order players will go.

Yeldarb Nov 29, 2006 09:53 PM

OMG, My name, exists it does not on the list!

POR QUE!!!!!!

Acro-nym Nov 29, 2006 10:00 PM

An oversight. A typo. Whatever you want to call it, it was an oversight.

No. Hard Pass. Nov 29, 2006 10:03 PM

So... it's a game that takes place with a bunch of no-names (<3 lek and knk, though) in a bunch of parts of the board that nobody cares about. Oh yeah. A winner of a thread.

Krelian Nov 30, 2006 04:20 AM

You've bruised my e-go, you jerk.

I'll be taking three steps forward in the only direction which is actually possible at this stage, which puts me here.

Leknaat Nov 30, 2006 02:44 PM

I go 4 paces straight ahead. Check the attachment to see my move.

Stoob Dec 1, 2006 06:14 PM

I move two spaces in the only direction possible.

Note: I'm sure to have screwed this up...somehow. Tell me if I did.

knkwzrd Dec 2, 2006 12:04 AM

Alright, I move five spaces straight ahead.

Admiral Amara Dec 2, 2006 12:32 AM

Since I got a great starting roll of a six, I move left one, down one, and left four more. See picture for clarity.

Yeldarb, unfortunately, received a roll of one. This has been reflected on the new chart.

I will now PM everyone with their rolls. Please post movement in the correct order. A few of you are close to rooms. (Admiral Amara can enter one next turn with even the lowest roll.) Suggestions will probably come into play in Round 2.

If I have made any errors on the new map, please let me know.

EDIT: Krelian rolled a one. He then moves into the only square he can (short of going backwards into nowhere).

Leknaat Dec 3, 2006 10:58 PM

Full steam straight ahead one space.

Stoob Dec 4, 2006 05:14 PM

Right one, then down three.

knkwzrd Dec 4, 2006 05:17 PM

I rolled a five, so I'll move into the Community Commons.

Acro-nym Dec 4, 2006 05:45 PM

knk, having found your way into the Community Commons, what do you suggest?

knkwzrd Dec 4, 2006 06:10 PM

I'll go with Leknaat in the C.C. with the shotgun.

Acro-nym Dec 4, 2006 07:11 PM

Since we have reached our first suggestion, I will reiterate the rules.

knkwzrd has suggested that Leknaat did it with the shotgun in the Community Commons. The burden of proof falls immediately to Admiral Amara. He should PM knk with one item of proof disputing the suggestion if he has one. If not, he needs to post here to inform the rest of the players and also in order to let Yeldarb know the task has fallen to him. This continues until someone can dispute it or until every player has been asked to dispute it. If you did dispute it, post it as well. If you are the player immediately after the suggester (in this case Amara), you can post that with your movement.

Admiral Amara Dec 4, 2006 07:55 PM

I do not have any evidence to dispute knkwzrd's claim. Yeldarb will have to PM knk with one disputing item if he has one.

On a roll of two, I move into The Creator's Cafe, and make a suggestion:

I suggest Stoob in the Creator's Cafe with the Networking Cable.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up. I forgot to log off GFF so it seemed that I was here sorry.

With that my move of six.

And I move into the Media Centre and accuse knkwzrd with the pen.

You're supposed to disprove his claim via PM...

Yeldarb also disproved Amara's claim.

That means it's up to Krelian to disprove knk and Yeldarb.

The map below shows where everyone is at the end of Round 2. All those pulled from somewhere on the board into a room (as part of a suggestion) can make a suggestion within that room or leave the room.

Krelian Dec 9, 2006 12:14 PM

I've got nothing on knk, but disproved Yeldarb.

Leknaat Dec 10, 2006 02:12 AM

I guess it's my turn.

And I say Amara in Place of Laugh and Games with the Video Game Controller.

Stoob Dec 11, 2006 05:12 PM

Disproved Leknaat.

How about...KNK in the Commons with the Rolling Pin

Krelian Dec 11, 2006 06:05 PM

Acro forgot to send my roll - It was a three, and I move accordingly: Three spaces straight down from my current position.

knkwzrd Dec 11, 2006 06:17 PM

Everyone has gone since my guess, but no one has sent me a PM...

Leknaat Dec 14, 2006 12:54 AM

I think the game died.....
