Riddle Me This.

So, there's a person who never talks to you, has no interest in anything about you and is basically a stranger, yet they insist on staying on your buddy lists, contact lists, friends lists etc. and if possible, want to know your current phone number. Am I crazy or do they qualify as stalkers?

Acro-nym Mar 10, 2006 06:06 PM

Yes, I would definitely consider this stalker behavior. I recommend for you to not only not give away this information, but to also stay as far away from this person as humanly possible. If that fails, there's always a restraining order.

Block them, end of story. Simple problem solved

Neogin Mar 10, 2006 06:21 PM

What valiant said, and make a new screenname/EMAIL address. Try to avoid that person. I've had the same problem a while ago. All I did was block that person, and make a new AIM account.

If they're really "practically a stranger," then I wouldn't think that they'd want to stay in touch. That's actually kind of creepy. Another vote towards withholding the information.

I know someone just like this. We met in class last semester. Somehow she attached herself to my leg and has been like that. Every time I see her (which I try to avoid), she asks me for updates on my phone number (I gave her an old one) and my e-mail address. She even told me she keeps all my information in three places...

However, she doesn't e-mail me or say anything about having the wrong phone number for me (I guess she's never tried it). Believe me, I understand what you're going through.

Jesus, just give them a fake phone number and delete them

problem solved

I had a problem like this for a while but eventually the problem faded away. I wonder if it's the same person. >.<

I don't understand this concept of "stalker." Surely I know what it entails, but what would make this person want to stalk you (besides annoying you)?

Jay Fox R.W.S. Mar 11, 2006 08:23 PM

I think I fixed it now, thanks for the responses.
