regarding keeping tube tops up...

uhm - so since I'm fairly new here, I'm really hoping this isn't an idiotic question and you all won't hate me for it, and also that this is even the right forum for this question (Mods, move this thing if it's wrong sorry sorry...) but this is the only forum I'm a member of that has a large enough female population that I'd get enough decent answers this question that I'd have options on one to consider...heh:

What simple modifications could help keep up a tube top up that doesn't really like to by itself? It's already the smallest size possible shirt, so no, it's not a problem with the size, but the top elastic band seems to have some trouble staying in place i.e. it slips a lot so I'm constantly pulling it up to avoid public embarrassment. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this (the slipping, that is)?

...sorry the question's so dumb, but it's kinda bothering me that I can't wear this shirt heh *blush*

Get a boob job.

Uhm, I wouldn't really know. Sorry.

I think it's trying to tell you "tits or gtfo"

Staples.

Well, er, I'm not a womans, so I can't really speak for them, but the majority of girls I've ever seen wear a tube top, no matter how large- or small-chested, have to keep pulling them up repeatedly when they wear 'em. I do know of one easy, and cheap, modification though.

Costume tape. Also sometimes referred to as Hollywood Tape, it's a "special kind of adhesive" that you stick to your clothes, and then to your skin, and voila, magically it stays. An ex of mine had to do that with her prom dress because she was afraid she would fall out of it, and it worked.

Oh, so that is why they are alway pulling up their shirts. I wondered what that was all about. Tape probably is the best way to go then. There has to be something out there that would solve the problem of having to pull your shirt up every ten minutes. I guess I can see how that would be annoying if you were moving around a lot.

You should wear something else. Or use a glue stick.

Or, say, a water-based adhesive like the sock glue used to hold up those crazy japanese schoolgirl socks.

Just stick with it the way it is. Seeing a woman constantly pulling on her tube top has a certain charm. You know, the whore variety.

Double-sided tape is the normal answer.

The answer for those of you who don't have the figure to wear boob tubes is, don't wear boob tubes. They make you look 9 years old unless you have tits like Pamela Anderson. They look shit & make you look like a slut anyway. Buy better clothes.

This is exactly my story, and my solution to the prom. Ex GF's prom dress any everything.

Whore charm is still charm.

Maybe you could add elastic to the top?

lightwarmth Nov 18, 2006 10:00 PM

Add straps and then...

oh wait. Nevermind.

Swear I thought I read 'cock glue' the first time I quickly read that. Read again and was sadly mistaken. :(

Sew on straps? Elastic straps.....

Iris Nov 20, 2006 12:38 AM

Well, I don't know why you'd want to wear a tube top in the winter. If you insist though, just buy one that you can tie. If you tie it tight enough it won't budge and it'll make your breasts look more perky.

Bigblah Nov 20, 2006 12:59 AM

You mean, a corset?

rocketdog Nov 20, 2006 01:28 AM

To sum it up the only options are really some sort of tape, or glue. Girls I know use plain gluestick or even scotch tape, preferably double-sided.

I think Blah was referring to this.

Gee, I'm sorry I don't wear women's clothing and don't know everything about them! >8U

yeah, apparently, tube tops are being dropped from the fashion world cause they're too bug, now if you want to be hip, you just wear a thin, pencil wide piece of clothing
