What exactly is so crazy about that (besides the astronomical price)? I've seen the Xbox 360 go for about that much as well, and at that time, I thought I should try the same thing with the PS3, but alas, I'm too lazy, and the rules of EBay too tricky for me to probably screw myself over.

Hopefully the seller isn't one of the people that pre-ordered that Gamestop will have to turn away.

I thought that myself. It would certainly suck that he shows up, only to have gotten there 10 minutes too late and doesn't have the PS3. Of course with it being pay pal, he can just refund the money to the guy, right?

Can you say 1 game for $1500? Holy shit man, this guy's just milking the PS3 cow for the extreme guys.

I don't use paypal, but he'd have to refund the money somehow (though I think paypal is pretty easy with that).


It's not the PS3 cow, it's the lack of availability cow - people have done this many times.

Aww man, only $2,000-$3,000 for a PS3? This totally changes things. Now I can get my mom to buy one! I thought they'd be around $5,000! Oh Mom!

Someone on another forum got a Japanese version of the PS3 there're going to sell starting at $1700USD, he said he thought that was low to start. I was like soudns pretty damn high to me, I could buy a car for that. I don't get the point of paying that much money so you can get it a week early. I'll wait until it comes on sale at Wal-Mart or something lol.

Heh. My boss ran into a problem at EB. They said 16 were coming in, she pre-ordered it, paid for it, and when she went to get it....

SHE DIDN'T!

They only got 10 in, and she was #13 out of #16 pre-sells, and only 2 of them are the more expensive ones. She is pissed. She talked to the woman at EB and was told they were expecting more in, and for her trouble, they'll throw in a free used game.....

Now, my mom's telling me that the console's being recalled because it's having problems....

someone's got money to blow.... i bet the free shipping was the selling point, you'd be suprised at how many people are attracted to the free shipping auctions.

Looks like we'll just have to watch for the price to drop into our range or you could move in with me again and pay half for a communal ps3.
