Britney Spears has filed for divorce from Kevin Federline, citing irreconcilable differences.

Why this is on top of CNN.com is beyond me.

Well, I am not surprised. These kinds of relationships don't seem to last very long, and Spears was going to be no exception. Funny how its the woman who wants the divorce.

I was seriously hoping that having two children would be a good enough reason for her to stick to her guns. I know that hasn't worked in the past, but I'm tired of celebrity weddings/break-ups. The more they do it, the more it perpetuates the joke.

Least it was the woman who was the rich one in this case. You all know how divorces usually favor the woman, so I hope they signed a pre-nup, and I hope that it sticks in court (in case K-Fed tries to get it overturned or something).

But yeah, like Donkey said at the end of the first Shrek, "Celebrity marriages, they never last." Couldn't be closer to the truth than that lol (I suppose it doesn't help that paparazzi follow them around like mad, but that's the price you pay for fame and fortune).

Well, I already know that I'm going to angst about this endlessly and not have the energy to go vote, thus rendering my ROCKING VOTE useless and letting someone else pick a white dude that they think I like. It'll be sweet, man. I just hope that K-Fed makes it through this horrible ordeal. :(

it seems that britney, finally not emotionally unstable due to pregnancy, is able to realize what's going on around her enough to realize k-fed is pretty much a ridiculous loser.

on a related note, it's clear she's got someone who has smacked sense into her (presumably the person/people responsible for her separation), enough to tell her, as someone who makes a living on image, to dress well and comb her hair when she goes out in public.

I give a shit too. The future is in the children. The children don't give a soaring shit about elections. They care about celebrities, most notably that Britney skank. This is going to damage them, and therefore have a more noticeable effect in the households of everyday families than some election here and there.

Well the only time i ever cared about britney was with that vid her husband released where she was totally wired.

I guess that bad to only know someone by that but that little clip was funny as hell made her look so stupid.
