AVG Antivirus Free will be Discontinued starting Jan 15, 2007

So, AVG has decided to stop offering the free version of their software.
This is a big pain for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people in the world.

So, in preparation for the impending switchover that I will have to do, as well as other users of AVG, lets discuss the alternatives.

Now, I've heard about nod32 being an excellent alternative, but it looks like you will have to find a crack to be able to use it past 30 days.
Can anyone confirm?

Aw fuck. I jumped the gun there. Apparently version 7.5 is going to be free. Any mods please just go ahead and delete this thread that is the spawn of retardation at its finest. :(
